Doesn't work nearly as well as a home-built antenna.
I've tried a few antennas for ADS-B, but none of them work as well as a home-built antenna I made out of an old coax cable in about an hour (it might help to have a VNA to tune the antenna--I got one for $60). This one picks up about 90% of what the home-build one gets. Granted the home-built antenna is not in any way weather proof while this one is.

Just a cheap PCB antenna in a tube
I've had this antenna outdoors for a year or so. It works - but I'm under the glide path of SFO, I should be able to hear more than 3 or 4 planes at any given time. 6dbi gain is wishful thinking.I finally got around to upgrading to something a bit more robust so I decided to pull this apart. I always kind of suspected it was just a $2 PCB antenna with flashy marketing, and sure enough...
