It just works. Be careful though…if you are in a band, let everyone buy their own, and mark yours with a Permanent marker, cause people like to claim stuff. LOL

This is my first foray into IEM's and this box is perfect. I wasn't sure about IEM's and did not want to spend over $1000 for a great wireless system or roll the dice with a cheap one. A band member recommended these as they are dependable and we generally play small stages so being bound to a cable is not a big deal. The Donner box allows me to run my monitor mix directly from one of my Zoom L20 mixer's aux sends. The box is very light. As long as you use a good TRS stereo cable, the signal is clean. I bought some $50, 5 driver Linsoul KZ earbuds and the combination has given me a dependable wired IEM system. I am amazed at how well I can now hear myself and the other vocalists. our harmonies will be so much better. I find myself asking why I didn't do this before.Please note that It is necessary to have either a send that uses an XLR or to use a TRS stereo 1/4" cable or use and TRS to XLR adapter. With a straight guitar cable you will just get one side\ear. I actually kind of like that. This is a great product if you are okay with being wired.

I purchased this to replace a Behringer P1. Although the Behringer has a metal body and appears to be rugged, I have purchased 2 over the last 4 years because they simply fail. They haven't even been used all that much. I'm not sending Behringer any more of my money. I found this Donner EM1 online and purchased it. The EM1 is smaller with a plastic body and cheaper than the Behringer. I was disappointed that it was plastic. But it is much lighter and hardly feels like I'm wearing it. The P1 was so heavy, I definitely felt like it was there. If I didn't wear a belt, it made my pocket sag. The EM1 is very light. The sound quality appears no different than the P1. So far, I'm very happy with the EM1. I'll report back if it fails.

I’ve taken this unit on tour with me the last few weeks and I’m happy to say that it’s doing the job well. The combo jack does accurately perform in stereo, contrary to some reviews from a previous iteration of the unit. If I’m being honest, as a stationary musician (drummer), this can be a real clutch piece on a stressful gig.The battery holds charge for even the longer gigs, but I recommend keeping a charger in the van or however you’re traveling. I’ve heard some news about it not charging after a while, but I’ve found that you have to charge it using its proprietary usb A to C cable… or one that matches voltage with the proprietary cable. It’s a drag, but knowing that you can possibly use another cable is worth mentioning. Do your best not to lose that original cable, though. I’ve had no luck with usb c to c.Hope this helps, enjoy!

I do live sound, and this unit has a built in battery that charges via Usb type C.Very good for quick trouble shooting on stage when you have AUX sends issues .

I own two of these units. Having tried several different brands of in-ear monitor systems, so far, I like this one the best. I have used models made by Behringer and Shure but, this one from Donner has been my favorite.The rechargeable battery has performed great, I tend to use it for around 4 to 5 hours at a time twice a week, though I/we try to turn off the units when they’re not in use. I’ve had the units for about a year now and have had no issues with the batteries. Will update later if problems arise.On/Off switch (not on volume knob)...Unlike other units, one of the best features is that this one powers, on and off, with a sliding switch on the side of the unit. Many other brands power on with the volume knob. I found that to be extremely frustrating when trying to keep my in-ear mix as consistent as possible volume wise. I use these in church and like to power off to save battery life during extended times of the service (or between services) when not in use. The sliding/toggle switch on the side of the unit is a must for me. I have removed the volume knob/cap on mine so that I can’t accidentally adjust it. My volume stays consistent every time I use it.I highly recommend giving this unit a try if your looking for a quality in-ear mix that stays consistent every time you use it.
