Does the lg-1 ring flash attachment still work on the tg-4 with this silicone case on the camera?

I don't have the flash attachment but I do have the lens adaptor and it fits with the silicon case so I imagine the flash attachment would as well.

Does this fit the TG-2

No. Subtle differences between the TG-2 and its successor, both in form factor and button placement (particularly the mode-selection wheel) will prevent interchangeability. Olympus did make a silicone case for the TG-2 but has discontinued its manufacture. There may still be some available if you hunt around.

is this product good for mounting with the camera on a helmet? or is there another hard plastic case you could recommend? thanks

It's just a soft silicone gel case that wraps around the camera leaving all ports and doors open as normal. It is does not hinder tripod attachment. I am not sure how you would mount it to a helmet other than with a tripod mount? Sound like you need a Go Pro!
