Must have for work boots
Works great for removing odors. I am a refrigeration tech and tend to work long hours and there is nothing worse than a weat stinky pair of boots. I've been using their peet boot drier for 3 years now and loved it. While the boot drier by itself does dry your boots and cut down on foot odor it never completely removes the smell. When I read about them coming with this I ordered it. I usually put my shoes on the boot drier run this for 3 hours on low and leave my boots on the drier overnight. The reason I try not to run the ozone generator overnight is because I've read ozone can damage glues and rubber and I would be nervous of the ozone causing early shoe damage. I also had a pair of tennis shoes that I've tried washing and everything and could never remove the odor from. This completely solved the issue. Also you can remove and clean the ozone emitter, while I have yet to do this I think that is a very handy feature since the emitter will get carbon deposits with age since the ozone generator is basically a small spark generator to produce the ozone. I have not had this device long enough to see if it will have any effects on the rubber and glues on my work boots and shorten the life of my boots. Time will only tell and I will update my review as time goes on.

Great Stand Alone Product, Kicks Boots Too!
This is a SILENT ozone generator and has a power on indicator light and a hi and a lo setting. I placed in a bedroom where extended illness left a musty smell. GONE. I put in my hall closet, where my suits hang (who wears suits in COVID?!!) and now they have a fresh smell, not perfumed. As one of my chemist buddies tells me, ozone molecules attach themselves to odor molecules and remove them. I don't trust the EPA or the FDA, but common sense says you would not lock yourself in a small room and sleep there, as far as "exposure". When attached to the boot/shoe dryer. this thing takes my (daily) work boots from "hoo-boy" to "warm and fresh" the next morning. Totally silent, no fan, no blower, very low heat; 36 watts for the whole shebang. I am now using the ionizer in a house I am flipping and it takes away the musty smell; like after a thunderstorm. Yes, I would recommend it. I bought my son the boot AND ionizer package subsequent to loving this setup.

Best solution in its category, even better with a Peet shoe dryer
I spent way too much time researching this solution and ultimately went with Peet because it was the most prevalent brand and I have had a great experience with regular Peet shoe dryers. So far so good. It’s clearly producing ozone as I can smell it if it’s in a smaller area. Shoes seem to be “cleaned” much more quickly than just with with the dryer. I’ve also used it with gloves and some Kickstarter “outdoor socks,” and it’s done a great job. My only concern is the longevity of the “serviceable” parts that have a consumable lifespan. So far it’s worked as well as I had hoped but I worry about the potential need to replace parts and/or replace the whole unit once something wears out. Fortunately Peet offers a warranty that can be extended a bit if you register. Since I’ve had and used their single-pair shoe warmer device for almost 10 years without any issues I trust the build/component quality of this device. Will update review if anything unexpected occurs

Helps with shoe odor but not the 100% solution
Not a total solution for me, but close. Using this, changing out odor fighting insoles, and spraying with GEAR AID Revivex Odor Eliminator when needed have kept the bad foot odor at bay. I prefer not running the D'Odoriz'r in the house because of the ozone smell (and health concerns with ozone). The instructions say 1 to 6 hours. I've gone to overnight on the 50% setting. After a few months, having problems with turning the Module on. Comes back to life if I don't use it for a few days, and stays working until turned off. I haven't figured out why. Combined with the Revivex, helps a lot with the shoe odor.

Works well, but fatally flawed design
Had this about a year, an have loved it. It works very, very well. It should be noted that wet boots/shoes occasionally drip, and when they do they drip right onto the on/off button and all over the circuit board. As a result (in the pictures) the board is fried and the unit is dead. Definitely an engineering oversight, could also be a fire hazard. I was fortunate mine just died. If you buy, make sure to sign up for the warranty…it will be needed. But as stated, works good and the ozone really helps keep smells at bay.

Impressive!
I was skeptical at first on how well it would remove odor from my riding boots. I was caught in a downpour on a ride and the boots were completely soaked. I was not able to leave them outside to dry due to the bad weather. After a couple of days they smelled like hot garbage! I rinsed them out and tried vinegar to kill the bacteria causing the odor. It worked somewhat, but now as my GF said, the boots smell like pickles. I got the D'Odoriz'r and set it in the top of the boots. In about 6hrs they had no odor at all. Shocked! When I unboxed the items I didn't know what to expect, it does feel like it thin plastic though. I hope it lasts the test of time! I order the boot dryers too, they arrived the following day. So now I think I am all set with any wet boot issues!

Doesn't really work very well
Doesn't create much ozone, you can smell it but barely. Also while the unit is in place on the dryer there is too much airflow for the ozone to really perform it's job. I have an ozone generator for my CPAP and it generates far more ozone and is much smaller. I was very dissapointed. Also it doesn't really take away odor in your shoes, really just changes the smell a little.
