We purchased this because we were headed on a flight to sunny Florida with an 18-month old. She doesn't get a lot of screen time, which is why having our iPad mini along was key. We downloaded The Sound of Music and Raffi - her current two favorite shows and brought it along. The case is durable, but still squishy/soft. Our toddler (now 21 months) like to tote it around the house and open/close the legs to make it stand. Naturally we pretend the battery is dead or we forgot the code, and the case alone brings her moments of fun. We highly recommend this for any children using an iPad or similar.

This iPad Mini case is basically a necessity when you have toddlers! As much as my kids throw their iPads around, I haven’t yet *knock on wood* noticed any damage to them what-so-ever! With that being said, we are also using glass screen protectors. They could almost certainly shatter the screen if thrown a certain way. The little kick stand feet on the back are a God send! If you have little ones, or want to protect your own iPad Mini, then this product is for you! BEWARE OF CHEWERS! Teeth marks can be made in these very easily, so discourage your children from biting them, and keep them away from destructive pets!!

My daughter has an iPad Mini and this did not fit it, no matter how many ways I tried to put it in. Be careful when buying, make sure it fits your iPad.
