cheap and nasty
ordered olive drab, got black. made in china so not the quality of the old originals i once had scuffed leather, gouges/slices in the rubber welts and loose stitching around the tongue. no insole just a flat card type material inner sole so no support or comfort. right size but heels sliding around the boot in hiking socks and you can feel the inners chaffing around your feet. lace up tighter to secure the feet but then it has to be very tight, no good on circulation, loosen off and im flopping around. slippery on damp stone, pavement and cobbles. basically not worth the money and 40 years in boots and these are the worse ones by far. suggesting going back to original specs and US manufacture as once a great boot.

Bought these for paintball scenario games. Once worn and broken in a bit, these are very durable boots that are comfortable for all day wear. Only complaint is that they're rather heavy.

It's like wearing a piece of loose cardboard between your feet.. tried to wear it a few times to get used to it but unfortunately it just isn't it for me... Your better off buying Merrells cause it's at least more cheaper and more well respected among the hiking community in contrast to these boots.. Rothco on its own is pretty hated for it's low quality gear and I can't agree more with those who dislike it..

Expect to get $30 worth of boot quality when you purchase these boots. The pair I own had an eyelet come loose after I walked a mile in them and removed the laces for leather conditioning. I've owned them for three weeks, but I will be wearing them daily for school in a rainy city, so I will provide an update when they start to show signs wear and tear. As far as comfort goes, they do not come with insoles and are not padded, so I was responsible for my own comfort there. With a set of moisture-wicking foam insoles from the local grocery store, my boots feel like an uncomfortable pair of Rockport loafers. I haven't owned any other pairs of jungle boots, so I can't say how these Rothco boots compare with others.
