Educational Insights Grandma's Trunk Alphabet Game

My four year old son loves playing this game. He loves to make up his own rules for playing. Even at his age, he is able to guess the item based on the clues given. At his age, he can't read yet, so he makes up his own clues when he is trying to get other people to guess what item is he looking for. Its a great game to engage children in word association. The packaging and quality of the box and cards is very high, and am very happy with the purchase of this game. I think we will enjoy it for many years to come. I purchased this game for my because i wanted a game to play with him that would be easy and stave off boredom, and I am very happy with the fun this game has provided for our family.

I wanted to like this but I just can't. I'm bored by it and my 4 y o has mastered several of the games already. It's nicely put together, the cards are playful and fun, but for the way we are using it, it just doesn't fit our needs.

If you are looking for a game your child will be able to play and still be challenged by, then the range on this is probably 4-5 years old. Which, when you think about playing with the same toy, is actually NOT bad. Your child will probably get sick of playing a game after 1-2 years anyway. However, you can also use the cards with a 2-3 year old to show them fun pictures and teach them new words. You can also play this game with older children. My kids ages 6-9 love this game. Is it SUPER easy for them? Yes. Is it a challenge for them? Not AT ALL. To some, that would make the game stupid and not worth getting for their child. I understand why. However, children have many challenges in life and likely already own a few challenging games. Giving them something to do that is EASY for them is a huge confidence booster. If your child is older than 5, get something else to stretch the brain muscles. But get this, too, to stretch those confidence muscles, too.Product-wise, I have to admit I was actually expecting it to be sorta junky. But the cards are fairly solid, the box is insanely sturdy. Yes, it appears deeper than it as, as others have said, but you really don't need more cards than it comes with, and this keeps the design theme strong. It also prevents the "trunk" from falling over when empty, if you care about that sort of thing.

The cards are sturdy and it's a very sweet concept.There are a couple ways to play and you could even come up with your own rules and ideas. My children have enjoyed it thus far (3 and 4). I could see that after playing for awhile it might get too easy...which is why I suggest throwing in your own ideas!

Do not waste your money..I was hoping it was more than just cards in a box

Disappointed. The box was shallow in content. I thought it was FILLED with learning tools.

Now, I know that it's silly to pay as much as this costs, BUT it's worth it in my opinion.the box is mostly for show, I really wish there was another alphabet in it with different pictures, but as it is, my kids still love it. It has helped with letter recognition, the noises each letter makes, and they all love the riddles. This is one of my favorite things I've bought for their homeschooling to date 5/5

This is a simple, fun game. The cards are good quality and the pictures are cute. It is great for little ones just learning the ABC's. Also, there are several ways to play so my 4 year old stays entertained.

高さのあるトランクボックスなので、厚みのあるカードがぎっしり入っていると予想していましたが、カードの収納部分はほんの数センチです。その下の部分は完全貼り合わせの上げ底で、なんの役にもたたない空洞です。ものを入れることもできないし、かさばるだけの残念な商品でした。

Lovely idea and cute box. But so not worth the money. The cards are in a very shallow tray at the top of the box so grandma's "trunk" is little more than a tray. Would have been so much better with a drawer or something to make use of. And could have contained many more resources. Like I say, lovely idea but could have been made so much more of.

The kids loved the game and liked the idea it was called 'Grandma's Trunk'.
