Ant-Man [Blu-ray] [Region Free]

Fantastic movie. When I first heard of this movie, I was like WTF is Rudd doing in a Marcel Hero movie? But I gave it a show and was amazed! Pena's character provides plenty of laughs and Douglas provides the seasoned stance for the movie. The Bluray itself is a great deal. Although I do not have 3D, everything is still available on the standard Bluray portion.

This is a sleeper movie the more you watch it the better it gets and the 3d is great wish Amazon would refresh their policies and start carrying more 3d. It is available on their European site.

I loved this movie and Paul Rudd is such a great actor. I enjoyed the story line, all of the characters and the humor. It is a great family movie and one of the first Marvel movies I fell in love with. I would definitely recommend.

Very entertaining

Best 3d I've seen (LG OLED65E6P), and I've seen hundreds of 3d films. Wasn't interested in this one until I read other reviews. Very glad I got this. Surprise new favorite Marvel film! Crazy, fun story, great characters, and, did I mention, GREAT 3d - all the way through the end credits. How they made Michael Douglas young at the beginning is beyond me. Crystal clear HD in both eye views. Will rewatch many times. Kept grabbing the armrest of the couch and saying, "Whoah!" Can't recommend highly enough for 3d lovers.

It's two hours where the whole family can sit down and enjoy a movie together.

DVD wouldn't play

You just have to see it to believe it. The special affects are simply amazing. The Marvel Studio flicks never disappoint!!

Good story line with a good pace. Nice to see Michael Douglas doing his thing as usual. I'm looking forward to Ant-Man and the Wasp to see how the story continues. Definitely give this 2 thumbs up on the action and nice usage of 3D effects.

Having missed the cinema release of this installment from the "Marvel Cinematic Universe", I wasn't quite sure what to expect - the reviews were favourable yet at the same time the movie had the hint of being "B-League" material behind the likes of Iron Man, Captain America and the Avengers movies. So it was a very pleasant surprise to find a very well crafted, well written and humourously produced movie, helped by absolutely top-notch casting and a director with a perfect sense for gentle humour. Paul Rudd both surprised and delighted as a down-on-his-luck burglar who happened to pick on the wrong house to burgle... Michael Douglas is perfect as a curmudgeonly, crusty (and slightly bitter) scientist, Hank Pym, while Evangeline Lilly was up to her usual excellent standards, and Corey Stoll puts in a perfectly judged turn as the villian of the piece, Darren Cross / Yellowjacket. However (and perhaps not surprisingly) the scene-stealer from this movie is the consistently fun Michael Pena, this time playing one of the slightly shady characters with whom Scott Lang/Ant Man (Paul Rudd) runs with when being the bad-boy burglar. We've come to expect flawless special effects from Marvel and Ant Man does not let us down: whilst it is entirely possible that some might find the thought of a movie full of ants to be somewhat squeamish in nature, this film manages to bring a subtle humour and sense of fun to the process. A thoroughly enjoyable and fun movie, seriously deserving of it's good reputation. A very worthy edition to the MCU!

Ant Man is 2015's Gaurdians of the Galaxy! This is a superhero movie with little known about it unless your a die hard comic book reader so a lot could have gone wrong. But for me everything was spot on. First Paul Rudd was a surprisingly good lead and the very well and he was both emotionally believable and kept his comedy talents and through them in at the right moments. Then there's Michael Douglas, he is fantastic and showed what good actor he is just superb and the rest of the cast all play their roles superbly. The plot isn't over complicated as this is an origins story of sorts but before you all go "oh no not another super hero origin" this one works and is needed. Overall the film is a treat,and 117mins well enjoyed!
