Outstanding value. Price to performance is unmatched. Includes an incredible accessory package.
We needed a temporary solution while our other unit was being serviced and repaired. The build quality was surprisingly good. The performance is outstanding and not reflective of the inexpensive pricing. This unit punches well above its price class. We have a very expensive unit and this unit performed equally as well with everything that we attempted. I can’t speak for it. It’s long-term durability, but from what I see in terms of build quality I suspect there will be no issues. If you need a sewing machine with some computerized functionality, you can’t go wrong with this unit. Also, the accessory kit was a pleasant surprise. We had to buy all of that with our other unit, which, as I mentioned before was much more expensive. This offer is excellent value performance and ease of use. While we’ve only used this for about 35 hours of use, it runs buttery, smooth, and is very quiet. This is an excellent machine and I can recommend it without hesitation. This machine has exceeded out expectations are 100% happy with this purchase.

Phenomenal sewing machine!
Phenomenal sewing machine. Has exceptional features such as thread cutting and needle threader. Anti-needle breaking option when sewing thick material. Very intuitive and easy to use. Well thought out design. Highly recommend Singer products. This is our third Singer machine. They are the leader in sewing technology and create products that are very easy to use. Excellent value for the money.

I have fell in love with this machine. It is perfect , I haven't figured out the automatic threader yet. It's a wonderful machine.

Very good for the price
When my old-time Singer was no longer repairable, the new Singers had such a bad reputation that I didn't think I would ever buy another. After several years of using a high-end and very pricy quilting machine, I couldn't put up with the constantly annoying design flaws any more. I wanted a more basic machine to do the majority of quilt piecing and for making clothing. I did a lot of research before buying this Singer, and it paid off. This machine has sewn flawlessly on a variety of fabrics, from silky, stretchy, quilting cotton, and heavy flannel. It is easy to thread and make bobbins. I wish the throat was a bit bigger, but I will be using my quilting machine for larger projects, so I can live with it. The only gripe I really have is that the lever to lift the foot is on the right instead of the rear, so it almost forces you to use your right hand to raise the foot. I've been using my left hand on rear levers for nearly 60 years, so that's a hard habit to break. I would definitely recommend this model as a solid beginner or mid-level machine.

Loved it so much I bought a 2d one.
When my daughter said she wanted a starter sewing machine I said phooey and got her this one. It's built well, will handle 3 layers of denim, and easy to learn.

Would not purchase again
Update - 2 days after the retun window closed the machine broke. I now have to take it to a repair shop and hope it can be fixed. Absolutely would not recommend. I have been sewing for over 20 years. Had been using a basic HD Singer purchased around 2004, this machine got damaged beyond repair in a move and I needed a replacement. I looked at several machines and purchased the 6700 with high hopes. I have been using it a little over a month now. Dislikes: My 1st observation upon unpacking was how light it was - it certainly didn't have the weight of my previous one. The display is nice but is not back-lit so is very hard to read depending on lighting in your room. It absolutely does not have the power I was expecting, it struggled on 2 layers of flat denim. It also appears to me that stitches are uneven length (I have not measured to confirm). I very much dislike that it only gives you 2 needle positions (center and one left of center). You only receive a couple of quick start instructions and have to go to Singers website to download the manual. Likes: I do really like the tie-off option and have used it frequently. The work surface light was bright. Like the top load bobbin with view plate. Overall opinion: If you're looking for a true heavy duty machine I would not recommend this. I think for someone just starting out sewing this would be a good option. The whole feel is just cheesy. I would not purchase this model again and will look at other manufacturers for a true HD machine.

Easy machine to learn.
I like this machine. It is heavy duty but only if you use the heavy duty sewing machine needles. I struggled patching my son's denim blue jeans, broke two needles needlessly until I found special Singer denim needles, then no problem. I then discovered Singer 110/18 size top stitching needles after wasting more needles on sewing microwave bowl cozies. It did not like two layers of cotton fabric with two layers of light weight cotton batting. I did not know about special top stitching and quilting needles like these; again, now no problem. I wish I would have learned to sew on this machine 40 years ago. It will be passed on to my granddaughter. Highly and gladly recommend. Wish printed manual was included instead of using home printer.

Great, but not excellent
This is a very nice machine and it is more complicated than I expected. However, what I was really counting on was its ability to sew through heavy materials, such as leather. It does see with the attachment through the skins, but it doesn’t have the power to handle the thickness. I do recommend buying this machine, but if you’re going to sew through leather, suede or other heavy items you might want to purchase an industrial machine. This is not to say that the machine is not good because I do love it.
