I broke my 1/8" #1 plastic guard that came with my Classic 76 and bought this to use without a guard. It gives about the same cut as using the guard and makes my beard look better than using the guard.

Oster is a good brand and this bad rating is not meant for the product itself but for the seller or Amazon. I got the tool and put it away for a while before using it. I wish I had my glasses on and inspected it carefully. When I wanted to use it I realized it was a used clipper and the package was open before looking old.The the clipper I ordered as in the picture was meant to be stainless steel.This has black paint on it still with the Oster logo on it. Then the worst thing I saw , having my glasses on this time was that there was black hair on it.For a second I thought ,hhmmm...I must have used it and forgot about it? Well I do not have black hair. I have been gray for a while.So I was sent a used one.Shame! NO RESPECT for the customer. I used it and it seems to be working like is should but the black paint on it doesn't help when you slide on the skin first and then go towards the hair line.At least if you the skin is moist it is quite annoying.It is like a bumpy slide. I am not sure what I am going to do. Be aware ! Check your shipments with open eyes and glasses on if you need them.

Been a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years. This is only the second time I've had to replace a 1 1/2 blade, and I know I use it more than any other size. (I do send them in for fairly regular sharpening and maintenance) They aren't for everyone's cutting style, but I love their durability and smooth cutting.
