Good fan.
This fan is great. I now have two of this model that replaced an older model that I've had some issues with. This model seems to have addressed many of the issues I've discovered with the model it replaced. They are fairly simple to install. Since I had a Hunter fan in place before it was much easier than a brand new install. I simply pulled off the old fan and used the old hardware that was exactly the same (albeit a different color). The shroud and baseplate were exactly the same size. I like that this model has five blades rather than 4 and I will say they are whisper quiet. I can't even hear them when they are on. I did not have to balance the blades on either fan and they move air very well. Also when they say "flush mount" they actually mean it. The shroud sits almost right next to the ceiling so it looks nice and clean. These seem to be a little more sturdy than the model it replaced. I will say that dealing with Hunter's customer service for the old fan was...annoying. They would NOT replace the motor even though it was bad. They insisted on sending me a new switch. I had three of these fans and I changed out every part between all three fans. Guess what part was the one consistent part that didn't work? You got it...the motor. So they send me out a switch. Then when I tell them "That didn't fix the problem" well they said they had to send me a SECOND switch because the first switch might be bad as well because they sit on the shelf and can go bad so it's their policy to send a second switch. *eye twitch* Don't you people test these things before you box them up or before you send them to people? Now I'm no electrical engineer...but unless you store these things at the bottom of the ocean inside the maw of a kraken I figure they're going to work even if they sit on a shelf for three or four years. I finally just called them and said "Well the motor started making this horrible squealing noise and gets very hot if I try to turn it on." They finally had to send me THIS model as a replacement because they old model was no longer being built or sold. They then asked me to chop the wires off the old motor and mail it to them. Bully to you, Hunter Fans. Enjoy your busted motor. I also sent them back the replacement switch...because I may have had to lie to get them to send me the correct part but I am no thief. Also I don't want a switch that's been sitting inside a kraken I'm allergic to shellfish. Good fans, semi-annoying customer service.

Silent fan with optional fixtures that take NORMAL BULBS is a giant win in my book
Ordered this fan along with the Hunter Fan Company Hunter Fan Company 99138 light kit (glass extra) from Amazon to replace a 6 month old store brand fan kit from local home improvement store. Why replace it so soon? Well for one the other fan was SOO noisy it was awful. Being in a bedroom a little background noise is OK & even nice when sleeping but the local bought fan would groan & buzz & moan.. They said it was likely defective but I had made the mistake of buying 3 of those local fans for our house & they all make similar noises so I said if I'm going to spend the time replacing the fan I'm getting a better one. That's where this Hunter came in. I wanted a hugger or low profile fan with lights & preferably with standard bulb sockets which are near impossible to find in ceiling fans these days due to gov'd regulations & fan companies trying to skirt them. After days of research I decided to to go this route despite the fact in the end it'd be 3x as much money as the local bought fan kit which included everything. This Hunter fan wasn't too bad to install really (aside from horribly tedius fan blade assembly with 1000 screws & washers lol and the light kit which I detailed in that review). Once installed I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be SILENT! No motor noise at all at any speed! SUCCESS! So it was well worth the effort & reluctantly the extra $. I can tell this is a quality fan & would buy it again. As far as cons, price for the fan itself wasn't bad. But by time I had to buy the light kit & the shades it ended up more than I really wanted to spend but it was worth it to have a quality fan and NORMAL BULBS! One complaint is fan speeds.. Low speed on this fan is about worthless. I mean it's great in my son's room since he just likes the motion but it spins so slowly it might as well not be on. So really it only leaves 2 usable/useful speeds. If you just want to see the fan moving low is great though :)

Great Fan, quite easy to install
This is a replacement fan to a hunter model very similar to this. I needed a NO FRILLS NO LIGHTS reliable fan. Original Hunter fan lasted 10 years and always ran quite, no wobble and was used everyday... but it finally gave out (motor) and I checked lowes and homedepot online...both had them but delivery time was either too long or only store had trouble with accepting my order (won't get into the details) so I check Amazon and there it was, same price but quicker delivery time. Anyway, installation was simple and did it myself, although another pair of hands to hand you stuff would be nice it's not mandatory. oh, this one has 5 blades verses 4 on my previous one. I think the 5th blade moves more air. I'm very satisfied.

Professional and clean look.
This fan is very low profile. It is hard to tell based on the pictures. It it about a 1 hand length drop from the ceiling. 42” was perfect for my 8x10 garage office. It looks professional and installation was easy. The mounting system is much easier than some I’ve installed. Only minor complaint is connecting the shroud to the mount. Directions are easy to follow and understand. If it’s a new install I highly recommend an 4 to 4 1/2 bit to cut the hole. The pushes good air and is very quiet. Zero wiggle or shaking.

Awesome porch fan
Installed this in our porch. Love the ease of installation. They build quality is great versus other fans I have installed that make the installation a nightmare. It’s super quiet, powerful and just overall looks great. Received many compliments so far.

Great quality
This is a very quiet fan with zero vibration. The motor is very light and easy to install. Well worth the cost.

Always trusted fan company
I have 3 of these fans in my town house and I just installed 5 more at the house I bought. I like these because when paired with Lutron, they work great. They are quite, push enough air around in the room, and over all keeps the air not stale. I always opt without the lights because I prefer going with recessed lighting by others, even though sometimes I get shadows from the blades. Great product and great company.

Great product
First time fan installer, did it without my husband in an hour. Just read the instructions carefully and it’s so incredibly simple. Very quiet, I’m not sure why others had issues Sleek, super low profile for low ceilings Blades are beautiful Easier than installing a light fixture for sure One note: the first step to mount the bracket, I ended up using the locking screws to mount to the ceiling box as they are the only clear option. apparently they are needed further along in the process, so I had to find similar ones in my house. No big deal but the second pair was definitely needed vs what they were asking for.
