Works as should!

I needed a Toslink audio cable to attach a media center computer I had just purchased to my home theater sound system and the fastest, the best, and the least expensive way to get one is to order it from Amazon. I initially ordered this Mediabridge - Toslink Cable - Optical Digital Audio Cable - 10 feet as I had ordered Mediabridge products in the past and was satisfied with them. Not this one, though. I use a C2G / Cables to Go 40324 3-Play Component Video and TOSLINK Digital Audio High Performance Selector Switch (Black) in conjunction with my home theater setup and, though this cable appeared to be well-made, it just would not fit into the Toslink port on the the switch box. I telephoned Mediabridge and they told me that they were aware of their cable not fitting into all devices (this was mentioned in some of the 1-star reviews to which I should have paid more attention). So I returned it to Amazon (an easy and convenient process) and the same day I returned it, I ordered this BlueRigger Digital Optical Audio Toslink Cable(10 feet) . It is very well-made and it fits perfectly into the ports where I need it. Based on its physical design, I am certain that it will fit into any device which uses a Toslink cable. It works perfectly too, carrying and transferring sound in whatever format the source supplies including, of course, full surround sound in DTS and/or Dolby Digital. I always like to have spares so, as this cable delivers excellent value for money and as I like it so much, yesterday I ordered three more of them! I highly recommend this BlueRigger Toslink cable to you. I'm sure you'll like it too.

It is a optical cable, does what is needed, works good

I've purchased many optical cables over the years, from $40 Monster cable in the mid-90's to the more recent Monoprice cables that I bought about six years ago. I go to Monoprice for decent quality at a great price, but at the current $6 price for this BlueRigger optical cable, this cable easily performs as good. Aesthetically, this is a nice looking cable. The cord material is strong and even when wrapping the cord around there was no worry of the inner optical cable breaking (obviously it isn’t designed to be bent in half). Performance-wise, these are going to work like every other optical cable out there. As a minor thing, I would have preferred it if they would have attached dust covers. These come with plastic plugs that pull off, but there's no place to attach them to the cable to keep them around for when you want to unplug them. The oval shapped brand name logo on the ends of the cable provide a little extra grip, however when you cannot see behind your equipment, it is hard to tell which end it up since the logo is on both the top and bottom. This would have been better if there was only one logo to make it easier to plug in without pulling the equipment all the way out. All around I’ve very pleased with the cable. The price was right, the quality is great and it performs as well as any other optical cable I have ever owned. BlueRigger Digital Optical Audio Toslink Cable (6 feet)

I'm not sure what more a Toslink cable could do for you. It works perfectly, sounds great. When I moved in this house 11 years ago, I bought the cable. It works great.
