Leviton 15-Amp 660-Watt Twin Light-Socket Adapter, 128-I, Ivory

Needed more light in our garage, which has just a single porcelain bulb holder on the ceiling. This duplex bulb adapter was the cheapest/quickest/easiest solution to double the amount of light No messing around with wiring, and it works great!

in a hall way, ceiling mount (no globe), this did the job, was able to go to 2 refrigerator size daylight bulbs. I had tried the fold out fan style and liked them but they burned out faster that regular bulbs, I have been replacing them as my supply fails. In bigger areas I went with 3-5 way splitters and the small refrigerator bulbs and got ample, even better lighting. for the narrow hall way this was a perfect alternative. I considered it a bonus that it was a Leviton, I have come to trust their electrical products, and was more economical that my other options

Works great

This product works well and as expected. The white color is nice. Considering the inexpensive parts, it is put together well. Definitely not the quality of old when these were manufactured with copper, which is why it is rated only 4 stars, but I would buy it again since those made with copper are simply not available to my knowledge. The specifications are somewhat confusing thought, since the product description says it is rated at 15 amp for up to 250 volts, which is equivalent to 3,750 watts, but the specifications also say it is rated at only 660 watts. So, if you were to use two adapters so you could convert this to two outlets, it is unclear how much power you could draw from it. Of course, if you are using it as intended for two light bulbs, you would be good.

This splitter is highly recommended. If you pair it with a good LED - you will be golden. Build The quality is great, feels durable, does not get abnormally hot. Advice This splitter was the final answer to a long struggle of finding: a reasonably priced, good quality, 200W LED, that offered 3200-3800 Lumens, with a flicker free light. Why buy one 200W LED and “maybe” get the proper amount of brightness(lumens), when you can buy splitters + few packs of four 100W bulbs, and live happily ever after... You can even go 3way or even 4way splitter route(if the fixture allows) … Amp use: Incandescent vs LED 100w / 120V = 0.83 amps 13w / 120V = 0.11 amps about 87% less energy use In this particular splitter example: two 100W bulbs = 0.22 amps *do verify specs on whatever you are buying It is simple math: Watts=Amps* Volts , Amps=Watts/Volts And check that your wiring and electrical are in good shape. *don’t buy cheap junk LEDs - poor quality light, low lumens and flicker(strobing) light will give you headaches, and you wouldn’t even know why you are getting headaches… Not affiliated, personal experience: I’ve finally found Sylvania(Natural)(True Wave) bulbs.
