My 5 year old daughter LOVES this car. We have only had it for a week but it holds a pretty good charge, it's FAST!!! the controller response is amazing. Our yard is a little hilly and it handles the hills great. Jumps right over sticks and rocks, no problem running through leaves. It launches off the kids slide and almost always lands on its wheels and just takes off. She's flipped it a dozen times and it's holding up good. All I reccomend is buy an extra pack of the clips that hold the skin on because she's lost a handful. I got a pack of 80 for $6 so it's a cheap fix and hopefully that pack of 80 will last a while. I think it's great quality for a reasonable price. Worth every penny.

This is not a toy, unless you're a mature teenager or a teen x5! (That would be me). This little hot rod gives the fun and thrills that you normally only watch on TV. It screams on asphalt, and slides through turns in dirt. It handles jumps with aplomb, but it's also got enough traction and clearance to be able to move along smartly in short grass and even leaves. The four-wheel drive, aggressive tread pattern, and plentiful torque make it a sure-footed scrambler on uneven, near verticle terrain. It took a few runs to graduate to having the throttle and steering on max. At that point it's a wild ride, but controllable with a steady hand. I found it actually more fun, but less terrifying, to turn down the steering and throttle to about 2/3. However, it also breaks up the sameness of a ride by going full tilt and trying to modulate your twitchy response when it starts to head for a tree or the ditch. The controls are well thought-out. The steering trim needed a little tweaking on my model, but was well-placed with the knob at the top of the control unit. Similarly, two other knobs adjust the responsiveness of the steering and throttle. Those, too, are handily placed at the top of the handheld control unit. It is easy to make adjustments at any moment you desire. It is well made with real oil filled shocks and a sturdy underside to the chassis.. Independent suspension and four-wheel drive make it surprisingly stable over bumps and rocks. Having an extra shell is a bonus on two counts. You can either decorate it to your liking or keep it over the stock shell and protect the finish. Likewise it comes with two batteries which is a real plus. I found the battery life to be surprisingly adequate. 20 minutes per battery is a pretty good run. I was asked to evaluate this car, and here's my unbiased evaluation… PROs: It is a large RC model as these things go. At 1:10 scale It doesn't look like a toy, and it doesn't act like one either. It is light for its size, yet sturdy and well made. I appreciate the fact that the motor is equipped with air cooling fins in order to prolong motor life. It generates a lot of very quick torque and jumps off the line when you hit the throttle. The steering is as responsive as you want it. At max setting it can do tight donuts and even slide turns in spite of its four-wheel drive. The interchangeable body makes for ease of replacement if you somehow do catastrophic damage. Likewise, there is a full complement of parts available should you need them. The battery life is more than adequate. The speed gets up in the high 30s which, for its scale, approaches 300 miles an hour. It feels like it. It has good range. It showed no signs of losing control when it got as far out as I was comfortable with. I would guess that was approaching 100 yards. At that point, at 30 mph I was on the verge of losing control myself. CONs: Its Shell is very light and thin. It feels like it could develop a tear. After repeated crashes and rollovers, however, it has not shown anything but a few light scuffs. The cotter pins that hold the shell on and also lock the battery in place are a bit of an annoyance. The holes the pin needs to go through are just slightly larger than the diameter of the pin. I don't see any reason why the holes couldn't be a larger diameter, and I may actually drill them out with a fine drill to make the cotter pins easier to insert and remove. If there were no throttle and steering adjustments, it would be too twitchy to be fun, in my opinion. The adjustments make this car fit your reflexes and need for speed. Overall, I was very impressed. I think an 8-year-old could handle it, but it seems more appropriate for a teen or adult.

The RC itself is a great purchase. For the item being a toy it has great range and speed for the unit. It does take a little getting use to operating to stop it from flipping over. It does great in short grass, and light rough terrain. If you get into higher grass or more rougher terrain it does get stuck easily. There isn't any type of support to help keep the unit from rolling over on its top if the frontend pops up in the air. So that will be an item to look at adding if you are thinking about jumps or trying to climb steeper inclines. It is nice to have the led lights on the front so you can run it later in the evening and still see the unit. I will need to look at add lights to the rear for the same reason. Over all it is a great unit for starting out or looking for a lower unit for fun.

I've owned several DeeRC cars, as always they don't disappoint. You have to keep in mind that this is a 1/16th scale and bushes but let me tell you this guy runs well. I'm very surprised by the performance of this RC car. Battery's last about 18mins each. This car comes with 2 of them and one charger, now the charging is around 3 hours per battery but it's a small cheap USB charger so not surprised. This car can run on grass but after it's been freshly mowed. Motor will start to get to warm if you run in grass that's a little long. The radio has a speed control so you can turn down max speed for younger drivers to get the hang of it. Finding replacement parts can be a bit tricky but they are out there. I've had to contact customer support for parts and other issues and DeeRC stands by there product and is very willing to help. You can not go wrong with their products. Oh I have launched this car off pretty big jumps and have taken a lot of hard crashes. It's still running and jumping. Would definitely recommend, just remember the size and it's brushed. You won't be doing 20 mph, closer to 13mph maybe a bit less in grass. Still plenty fast for my kids who are learning and I have fun with it too.

This RC car is awesome. The durability is top notch and it handles bumps and crashes without issues. The batteries are strong — I get about 20 minutes of full-speed play, and around 12 minutes running hard in grass. Fast, fun, and built solid. Definitely a great buy! 🚗💨

I ordered one of these for my son for Christmas. A car is spectacular. It is so fast and durable. He loves it so much and I love it too. I think I wanna play with it more than he does so I followed all instructions when opening the package in the car comes with two batteries so the first time we went out to play with him. This thing ran on full speed for 20 minutes or longer then I put the second battery in and only ran for five minutes so obviously there’s a battery issue now I’ve used this car along with my son multiple times and I had reached out to the supplier saying that one of my batteries had an issue. They got back in touch with me within 48 hours and offered to give me a full refund or send me a new car and then I could keep the old car until the new car showed up and then return a car I purchased for Christmas even after it’s been used so I’m very satisfied with this company they make planes ,boats, cars and trucks when summer comes around you can be sure I’ll be trying out a boat and an airplane. Again, customer service was fantastic. The fact that they sending me a new car even though when they were received the old car, they’re not gonna be able to sell it because I’ve used it and she’s just nice and know that there’s still some companies out there that stand on their products and even though they’re losing some money, they just wanna make sure the customer is satisfied with their product, which I am

I got this item almost a year ago for my birthday. This was a very good RC car for its value. I didn't expect much for the price, but it was very good. This was pretty fast and easy to control. I was using it when it was pretty cold out, and the support arm snapped because the plastic became brittle. I tried to superglue it, but it broke again. The axle also came out when it snapped.

This is a great RC truck, easy to drive. It's very fast and durable and fun to drive. It handles multiple terrains just great. First the technical: It comes with 2 batteries, each lasts for about 20 minutes. It has gas shocks. It has metal drive train componentsThe body is made of soft plastic which makes it durrable as it won't just break when it hits something because there is give. It is lightweight and has large tires which enables it to handle any terrain thrown at it. The Experience: Very fun to drive. It's very fast and will take on multiple terrains without even breaking a sweat. It's lightweight which enabales it to just plow through most terrain. Open Road: Very fast(up to about 20mph), distance is good, can get at least a couple hunderd feet until it becomes a speck but still good signal. Gravel: This truck eats gravel alive! Dirt/Mud: Plows right through it. Water: it has an IP4 waterproof rating. I ran it through some water and it did great. I good bath is a great thing after a hard day in the dirt and mud! Grass: It does slow down in grass but it does not stop, it just keeps on going. Durability: Very durable. The front bumper will give instead of just breaking. The body is soft plastic so it will give. Unlike stiff plastic that will just break when it hits something(I've crashed several times learning how to drive this truck), It has metal drive train components. It has an IP4 water proof rating, so puddles, mud and such are not an issue.
