BOSS Audio Systems BRS35 3.5 Inch Replacement Car Door Speaker - 50 Watts Max, Sold Individually

This review includes the BOSS Audio - BRS 6x9 speakers, BOSS AVA6200 speakers, and the BOSS Audio 616UAB multimedia player. I have purchased other very elaborate, and expensive car audio systems, and either they did not last long, or I was disappointed in some other way. But the multimedia player I mentioned made me BOSS Audio fan. It is very reliable, tough, long lasting, and has excellent sound quality. I built, and completely modified a 2015 Toyota Tacoma inside out, and from the ground up. The same above mentioned BOSS Audio speakers, and media player is what is in my build. The sound is very strong, clear, and excellent. I do not play my music to deafening level, but at a moderate volume. I am very picky to sound, and simplicity. I do not get involved with subwoofer competitions, while sagging my pants, and picking my nose. I just wanted excellent sound.

Feb 12.2023 edit- still no problems and sounds like it did the day of install. For the price point this speaker really can’t be beat. For a mid speaker this one is top notch at the price point. It’s rare to find single speakers so when I saw this I figured “why not?” I wasn’t in the market for anything top tier after market for a replacement after the factory speaker blew. The sound quality is miles above the factory speaker that came in our 2010 Nissan Rogue. The holes don’t match up and I had to cut the stock wire harness off and re-wire myself. But, not a problem. A few washers and some basic wiring knowledge is all you need to get the job done! After installing countless aftermarket speakers/amps/subs/tweeters in my personal vehicles over the years this one was a breeze! Say goodbye to distortion and that annoying crackle that comes with a dry rotted stock paper speaker! I’ve only had it in one day but if any issues arise I will update my review. 10/10 would recommend at this point in time though!

They sure do speak, I tell you what. These won't blow you away. I needed some cheap speakers to just have a functioning audio system in my 90s Honda. It'll sound like an OEM system from the late 90s, and you'll be totally okay with that. And while you're not blowing out windows 3 blocks down, they do a decent job of producing decent sound for a pretty decent price. They fit right in, look like OEM speakers, and there are lots of screw holes for whatever zany setup the manufacturer of your car had going on.

Despite what the description says, this is a TWO PACK of speakers. That's right, even though the box that shows up says "Replacement Speaker" on it, when you open it up, there are TWO speakers in there. Oh, and elsewhere on the box it says "Contains 2 Speakers", but someone at Amazon apparently missed this. So you can look at this as getting a bonus speaker, or getting saddled with twice as many speakers as you wanted and having to figure out which of your friends also have a 1960s vintage vehicle that uses a 4X10 speaker. As far as the speaker itself goes, it fits perfectly and sounds great (well, compared to the rotted out cardboard cone that was in my '66 Mustang in the first place). Oh, and that old speaker had a magnet about the size of a thimble, whereas the BRS410 has a big ol' magnet that looks like a hockey puck by comparison, so the power handling capacity and precision will be a lot better than you actually need for the crappy old AM radio your old Detroit iron came with. If you're concerned that your original speaker is an 8 Ohm speaker, and these are 4 Ohm speakers, don't worry; it just means that the BRS410 is more efficient than the old one, so you can crank it up until your radio distorts and annoy your neighbors with the crappy political or religious or sports or Mexican music programming that are all that's left of AM broadcast. So five stars for these replacement speakers, but one star for the sad carcass of popular music on the tinny Amplitude Modulation electromagnetic spectrum broadcast system.

If you’re a super audiophile and these are for your daily, then maybe spend a little extra. My case they were for my second car / Lyft car. I have high Standards for audio quality though. These won’t blow your mind, they’re basic standard issue speakers. But they will be better than blown speakers (my situation) and better than any factory paper cone speakers. They’re low wattage all they work great with a factory radio / head unit. These are very clean, fit perfectly and just good all around speakers. You better better base with these vs coaxial speakers in most cases, but the trade off is they won’t have the mids and highs a coaxial speaker has. Overall these are great. Simple and clean upgrade with a noticeable improvement vs most factory speakers. Fits the bill. You can’t be disappointed at this price point.

Sound like cheap speakers

They sound terrible and don’t last. Had the first one replaced and now the second one is starting to go.

As a OEM replacement it's very good, and it came with universal bracket. I removed OEM plug female from the original speaker and put it on the new one. Works like a charm
