I like Lume. It took me awhile to getting around to trying it as I had actually been using a different but similarly effective product for awhile by Boscia. I find that with these products, a little goes a long way. Whether from a tube, or from an applicator, the product is creamy. It spreads well, and rubs in nicely. No need to leave it caked, be sure to massage in until it pretty much disappears. With the applicator, when using anywhere than the armpits, add some to finger tips then spread over body parts.I get a funky smell in the leg area when I have been sweaty. I was taking multiple "bird baths" through the day to freshen up, but it never really made a difference. Using a product such as Lume will knock that out. I massage some into leg pits (where legs meet crotch area), around my belly button, butt area, and any spot that I think could benefit from this stuff. I dont use it on my arm pits as I have plenty of deodorant already for that. But it could be used for that.Basically what this is doing is not masking, blocking out odor, but it has components that help eat bacteria causing odor. This is why it is possible that is can be effective for a few days at a time, even with showering. Now, the time frame of how long it works will depend on your body chemistry, your environment, and even what you wear. My clothing isnt all that breathable so that has much to do with the funk smell. Pools of sweat in hot body regions. Yuck. I use Lume (or Boscia), and I am not stinking. I can swipe my finger along my inner leg crease, and my finger just smells like citrus. I'll use this daily for rest of summer, then likely just a couple few times a week going into cool temps. Or maybe I will just use it daily. Little goes a long way, its effective, smells good. No issues. I swear a LOT! Always have. I don’t smell pleasant in the summer. This has helped tremendously!! Sweat is still there, stink in not!

I have very sensitive skin so I only use about a quarter of the recommended amount. Normally I crank it up one notch and split what comes out between both my armpits. I was rubbing whatever residue was left under my breasts until it caused an infection. I have seen in other reviews pictures of peoples breasts underneath having cut like marks and red and swollen. That happened to me, but in a lesser degree than I’ve seen in the photos. Some of the people reporting this said that they contacted the manufacturer and were blamed for using too much. I don’t know how much they used, but I barely put any at all and I had that problem. Because it caused that little cash under my breast, bacteria got in and I got a serious infection called mastitis. It normally happens to nursing mothers, but also happens to women who get bacteria in their breast somehow. I also have injuries from a car accident that make me more prone to this infection, but the bacteria got in from the wound caused by the deodorant.Update: I am adding to this review, because since leaving the first review less than a week ago, the manufacturer reached out to me to see if there’s something they could do to help. I wasn’t planning on taking any actions other than leaving the review to hopefully warn other users who could potentially have the same problem. At first I thought it was really nice that they reached out and that maybe they really cared about what happened to me and that perhaps through my experience they could learn something and figure out why this is happening to some users. I told them if they really wanted to do something they could either do something that would ease the pain and suffering of the infection that I’m still healing from, and or do some research into why this problem is occurring with some users who are putting the deodorant under their breast. They claimed no responsibility for the marks made by their product. I did not take a picture of what was done to me, but I’ve seen photos by other users, mostly in the reviews of the tube deodorant, but it’s the same stuff just in a different applicator. Their injuries were worse than the one that happened to me though, this company claims that their product does not cause this type of thing. It seems like to avoid liability. They are placing the blame on the user, even in my case when they can’t blame it on overuse. They flat out just said no that’s not the cause. I had to remind them that the day that it happened to me I just showered, it was the first day that I started using that product in the area and it had never happened before, and that it looks identical to the marks on the other customers who reviewed the product and received the same injury. They did refund my money, but I wasn’t even asking for that and I wasn’t even upset until now. I was planning on continuing to use the product under my arm and was going to try using the body wash I ordered before this incident took place. I no longer feel comfortable doing that. Now I have to return $40 worth of body wash. They actually really had me feeling like they cared until they brushed off any type of accountability for the situation. It really made me feel like they deserve to be sued for this. I’m not saying that’s what I’m going to do because that takes a lot of energy and time, but I am really disappointed in the interaction I had with the representatives for this company.

So as much as I love Lume and this scent, It gave me a bad rash under my armpits. I only use it for other parts of my body now so it still works for me. The size is decent for the price and application is very easy. I feel fresh for a day or two then need to reapply.
