Access to top shelf storage! Great quality.
This is a very good addition to any upper cabinet. I'm 5' 2". Finally, I have access to the upper shelf storage in my kitchen. I would buy more, but this is only available in 24" and 36" inches. My other cabinets are 30". If they made one in that size, I would buy it in a minute.Pros:Well designedSturdyEasy to useGives access to usually inaccessible upper shelves.Cons:A bit complicated to install. The instructions could be better.

Slow lift and close feature
I just installed in my 36 inch cabinet. First couple days lift worked great, now I have to lift and push all the way back I to cabinet. Being short I still love the idea of being able to bring it down to access. I may be able to replace the hydraulic arms , need to check it out.

Very well built
Neither my husband nor myself are particularly adapt at assembling items of this nature but I can tell you that he was able to put it together and install it all by himself (all day project for him because he is a little OCD). We just had new cabinets installed that go up to the ceiling (8 ft). I pre-ordered these pull down shelves thinking I would be able to better utilize the upper shelves in my new cabinets without having to drag out a step stool every time I needed to access something. Our upper cabinets are both 30" wide. Since these only came in 36" or 24" I got the smaller thinking I would only be sacrificing a few inches of space. Well the minute my husband finished installing them he called me in, knowing how much I value the new space my cabinets were giving me, and said, "I don't think you are going to be happy with these". Unfortunately he was right. Since they weren't wide enough to be mounted to the sides, they needed to be centered on the shelf, so I lost about 2.5-3 inches on both sides. Additionally, the shelves themselves are pretty thick and by the time I measured the inside area for storage it was around 16 inches wide. I was able to put more on one of my shelves than I could get on the two shelves that pulled down. So we decided to pull them out and return them. The other thing I would tell you is if you are planning to put these shelves in an upper cabinet like we did, you really should stabilize the shelf you attach it to. It is a good 20+ lbs before you put anything on it. When the unit was empty and we pulled it out, the shelf tried to come out as well. The videos of someone using the pull down shelves are actually mounted to the bottom of a cabinet. They really were well built and I wished it had fit my cabinets and that I didn't have to give up so much storage space to have them. We would have gladly stabilized the shelf if that had been the only issue. As for returning them, it could not have been easier! I printed out the labels and followed the instructions and within minutes of when my husband dropped them off at UPS, we were notified we would be reimbursed in 3-5 business days, but our $ was in the bank the very next day (minus the return shipping). I love all of my other Rev-a self products and have about 3 more in my cart for future purchases! I will use this vendor again. Very happy with the service!

Good, but pistons make a grinding sound, and some minor design deficiencies
I just installed mine a week ago and the pistons make a grinding sound like metal on metal. I’m afraid they’ll malfunction soon. So I’m going to return and ask for a new unit just in case given that these pistons are so expensive.Other problem is that the upper shelf is not adjustable. It would been so easy to add that in this design. My mom can not reach to the upper shelf. Just 2 inches would have done the trick. I may end up drilling holes into tbr slides and then attaching the basket lower down.Next is issue is that the unit could have been slightly wider, perhaps my an inch if the bottom brackets were just an inch narrower. I don’t see the need for them to be this wide.Next we added some cardboard cut to size to place on each basket so stuff doesn’t fall thru the holes. My mom still loves the unit but these minor things get in the way.

Look elsewhere - avoid
The media could not be loaded. I would give -1 star if I could. Bought this in October for kitchen renovation. It was professionally installed today. It works fine with nothing on it. As soon as any weight, even only a few condiments, is put on the shelves, it will not go up. So the pneumatic doesn’t work as intended even when only a few items are on one of the 2 shelves. It is past Amazon return period - Cost more than $600 - buyer beware. I have looked at all Rev-a-shelf materials and there is no indication that the lift mechanism is adjustable.

Great product!
I needed this to improve the efficiency of my very awkward pantry. It has helped a lot to organize and store my non-perishable food items. I actually bought 2 of them...one 24" and one 36" . Wish I had done it years ago. The product is very well made and worth every penny.

Great, But with a Engineering Flaw
It performs the task very well, and the quality is top notch. The reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the "equalizer" bar which is supposed to keep both arms moving together. Unfortunately, my 24 inch cabinets are 23 7/8 inches inside, and using the 'side mount' method, the arms are spread too wide to allow the equalizer bar to be installed.Although the system still works well enough, you can tell that the bar should be there.
