So many cutting mats are scary thin but this here is a right proper cutting mat. i'm very heavy handed and have no fear using this mat. nice and thick and feels it will last quite some time

This is an excellent cutting mat. In fact, I doubt there is a better mat than this one. I use it for a variety of materials - wood veneer, leather, cardboard, etc. It is very sturdy, quite firm, and lays flat from edge to edge. It has a smooth yet non-slip surface, and when used with very sharp tools, its self healing properties are excellent. Because is so durable and double sided, it will last for many years. It is well worth the $38 I paid for it.

Love EVERYTHING about product. The construction, the information on the Madding board, the healing part, the size, and it’s just beautiful. I would be an ambassador for this. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a reasonably priced board of this magnitude others that I looked at were anywhere from $63-$73.

I'm very happy that I decided to go with this cutting mat after looking at so many options. It's working great for my needs, and I'm glad I didn't get something larger. I can keep this on my craft table for cutting and I cover it with another type of material when I'm gluing. It's worked out great. The mat is thick enough and feels of high quality. It had a bit of smell when I first opened it but that smell went away in no time. I haven't noticed it since day 1. It's great for cutting. the mat hasn't warped at all and it is not sticky.

The mat is well made and allows for cutting of material without worry of marring a surface. It’s a good size for medium to small projects and is affordable. Wife thought there would be two mats due to the picture. She doesn’t read. The mat flips over. Just a thought but it would be nice if there were cutting grooves lined in the mat for straight line cuts. This would allow for straight cuts with a rotary tool or blade easier. She has issue cutting straight lines so just thinking out loud.

Nice and big to make my own sewing table. Love that it's double sided, one side metric and one side imperial.

I already had one of these mats (not purchased online)that I use to cut vinyl, paper and fabric on using a rotary cutter for crafting. The ruler marks and grid make it easy to cut just the right size without having to clutter up my limited workspace with a bulky cutting device. The mat looks good as new after much use! I liked it so much that I purchased another from Amazon to put in another part of craft room to weed vinyl on. Just as happy with this one! It's thick enough to make doing this intricate work more comfortable than on the hard tabletop yet thin enough not to be in the way when not in use.

(Update) (Update) Following several modeling sessions, I observed another remarkable feature of this mat: its texture. There is sufficient texture to ensure not only self-healing but also the stability of items placed on it, preventing them from sliding around and getting lost. (Original post) I recently purchased the yellow print on green mat, size 12x18. I’m pleased with the sturdiness of the mat, as advertised. It’s also more affordable than the store version, which is a bonus. I haven’t had a chance to test the self-healing feature yet, but I was initially concerned that the yellow print might be difficult to read. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the print is easy on the eyes and doesn’t distract from my project. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend Headley Tools to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable mat.

Nul ! ce tapis n'est pas autocicatrisant. A la 1ère tentative de coupe avec un cutter, une belle marque reste présente sur le tapis. Celle-ci est visible à l'œil nu et se sent quand on passe le doigt dessus. C'est le 4ème tapis autocicatrisant que j'achète, tous verts et en A4 ou A3. J'avais besoin d'un gris....déception. Je vais reprendre un vert, mais d'une autre marque.

Really pleased with the self healing board. Great size. Picture shows 2 different coloured boards which can be confusing. It is one board with 2 coloured sides. Well packaged. Thank you.
