Short and sweet
Enjoyed it, the summary section at the end is really helpful

An interesting read. Worth picking up
The book has put a name to most of the methods I've used for years in acute mental health ward when talking to patients and given more to use.

I learnt new and exciting structures here .
I recommend this book . I am starting to practice the methods and I am excited to see the way this could develop.

Helpful
Very basic but great for those struggling with this issue

very little material, a lot of pointless reiteration
Could not get over how massive the text is in this book. It is incredibly expensive for what you get; it appears to be an average sized book, but then you open it and it's kind of like the kid who writes in massive writing when asked to fill a page before leaving class. The tagline 'be clever, quick and magnetic' really isn't achieved through this book. There is nothing clever about any of it, and the simplicity of the advice leaves a lot to be desired. While there were some points which were a case of putting words to unspoken behaviour which some people who struggle to hold any kind of conversation may benefit from, there was also some really cringe-worthy advice which is a sure shot to pushing people away because you're trying so hard and not succeeding. If this book was half the price, I might recommend it to someone struggling to hold a conversation, but for £10 there are much better options out there whether you're struggling or not.
