OttLite MG013HF 4-Inch Hands-Free LED Magnifier

This product makes a big improvement in my evenings, because I can actually SEE what I'm doing now. It's lightweight, with good illumination for my work. The only thing I don't like so much is the higher-power magnification zone, which is a very small circle at the bottom of the overall magnifier. It's not big enough to actually provide any useful assistance; I can't see a big enough area of my work to make it worth using. Overall, though, this is a great tool.

This magnifying light is perfect for my x-stitch projects! It is adjustable and the magnification and light are just right! I wish that I had found this earlier!

Works fine. I wish the light was a little stronger, so I could work in the dark while my family watches tv, but they will have to tolerate watching tv with the light on, and I use this to make it brighter, magnified, and easier to do my work.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this light and magnifier, so why only 3 stars? The string that holds it up. This thing moves about quite a bit, and if a gooseneck was provided instead of string, I think it would be perfect. It is useful, it helps me see patterns for embroidery, the big strike is the comfort/stability of it. I'm keeping it, I'll continue to use it, but my goal is to eventually get a free-standing Ott magnifying lamp.

I can read my small print Bible easily now and it will be great when I am appliquéing a quilt block. The light makes a big difference. The light on my old neck magnifier no longer worked so I had to rely on my Ott task lamp which is also good but this is better for seeing details.

This little fan works great. I use it in my sewing room and it does the job.

I am actually shocked at how bad this is. I expected much better from Ottlite. First and foremost is the light. It is feeble at best and is yellowish in color. It manages to cast shadows on whatever you are working on. The light is not evenly dispersed. Yes, feeble is the word. The placement of the extra-magnification spot is terrible. It is right at the base of the part that is placed against your chest so it is directly in your field of vision when working on something. It is distracting and annoying to the eyes. It should be placed to the side to use when needed but not directly where one would look through the magnifier most of the time. The overall setup is......okay. It mostly (and I emphasize mostly) stays in place though using it in bed, it periodically flops against the chest if you move or reach for anything. I've never bought an Ottlite product before but was of course aware of their reputation. Going forward, I would hesitate to buy another one of their products. Yes, it is going back.

Wasn’t quite sure when I first got this item but after taking it away with me found if fabulous to use could manage to my sewing. Am very happy with this product

I love this, perfect for my cross stitch which was getting harder to do. Would highly recommend it. Love the handy portable one you get with it too.
