does this spray repellent for squirrels harm garden plants when used in garden pots

I only have pots in the garden and only spray on the rim of the pot. It has a strong peppermint smell and does work until it rains, although the smell does linger. As it is not a chemical I guess it would not harm your plants.

Does the spray kill flowers

I would doubt it considering the ingredients and the fact it doesn't deter small birds. It certainly keeps the squirrels away but only for a short time and doesn't last very long. Four to 5 sprays has meant it only lasted less than two weeks.
