8011 Acrylic Water Based Bonding Adhesive - 1 Gallon

We had an area on our rv roof that needed repair work done. While researching the steps required for the repair I found that the roof membrane requires a special adhesive to adhere it to the wood. I removed the membrane, repaired a few trusses that were rotted and replaced the wood. I followed the directions on the can and it worked GREAT!! Very sticky and great adhesion to the wood. If you want to do this kind of repair, you NEED this adhesive. It is easy to use, water based so you can clean up with water and a good price for a GREAT product.

Absolute must for every roof repair. Works like contact segment, just follow the directions or YouTube videos. Thick and durable when used as directed! Perfect adhesive for reattaching the Eldon or tpo membrane. Easy, but messy and fair value for what it is.

Bare OSB to EPDM 60 mil. The container is nebulous on how to apply so I tried application of the thinnest layer possible (not really very thin) to both surfaces. This was too much adhesive and even after allowing 30 minutes of direct sun to dry, it remains fully unadhered many days later. Very tacky yet doesn't really want to "cure". ALSO, application to the OSB and the EPDM requires LOTS of adhesive (about 135 square ft/gal) and if any mistakes are made when applying the membrane...you are cooked. In this regard it is very much like contact cement. I recommend you DO NOT try to apply in this way by yourself. BEST METHOD TO APPLY turned out to be application to to the EPDM only, let dry till clear (30 minutes or so) and than apple the membrane. Apply in increments of one to three linear feet at a time if by yourself. Then slide the membrane into place and roll it down/broom it down. Rinse and repeat. >>>NOTE: I would never use this product is both surfaces were non-absorbent. Although the container seems to imply it will works...I cannot see how it would "cure" in any reasonable amount of time. >>>Please understand while this product works OK yet I will never use it again. I took a star away for Alpha not providing EXPLICIT instructions on how to apply this product and another star for the "medium drying time" version (8011) taking DAYS to dry if applied to both surfaces. Its been 5 days of 70 degree dry weather and I am still rolling my firestone EPDM down each day in the areas I applied to both the EPDM and the bare OSB.

It got the job done! I used it to reseal the roof membrane on my RV. I would buy it again.

I purchased this to install rubber roof on small garage, easy to apply with roller, water cleanup, does up to 200sf easily, well worth the money
