Good kit and Fun to build!
I bought both this F-14 Tomcat and the newer F/A-18 “Maverick” kit in 1/48 scale. My 13 yo son built the F-14 all by himself. I think this is his 3rd or 4th model kit he’s built. Kit comes ONLY with 1 pilot. My son borrowed the back seat pilot from another kit. Painted the whole thing with Valero and Testor’s Model Master Acrylic paints. He used a airbrush and compressor kit to paint the exterior. Came out great and he really enjoyed building it as much as he enjoyed watching the “TOP GUN” movie for 1st time. In my opinion, this kit can be easily and completely painted by hand without the need for a airbrush.

Nice model
Best priced model for the scale that I could find. You have to pre-fit pieces and some required some fine adjustments to fit. Wish building with landing gear up was an option.

Have not built it yet, but arrived quickly and in great shape. Revel is pretty good stuff these days. Should be fun. Happy Modeling

Looks like a nice kit to build
I’m not an experienced builder and I’ve heard that this kit’s parts do not fit well, but we’ll see. It is not as pricey as the competition and it seems to be a nice kit looking at it after opening. Time will tell once I start building.

Top Gun F-14 Tomcat
Item was packaged well and arrived in a timely manner. Should have bought this model years ago but I kept holding off. Can't wait to put it together.

It’s just okay…
It’s a cool model but the fact it doesn’t come with a co-pilot is a huge thumbs down and many of the pieces don’t fit as well as you’d expect. Be prepared to do a lot of sanding and putty work. I think next time I’ll be ordering the Tamiya F-14 kit and the aftermarket Top Gun decals. I won’t be purchasing another Revell kit
