This product is designed for making your own air filter. You will need to have an appropriately sized frame to fasten the product to. I found it easy to cut and fasten the product to the frame I had. Fastening is done by sticking Velcro to the frame, and letting the filtering material stick to the Velcro. After several days of letting my system run, I found that the filtering material was working properly and it was still stuck firmly to the Velcro mounting strips. Air flow was good -- the filter doesn't seem to cause too much slow-down. However, be aware that the filter material is thin, and presumably will not be suitable to be used as a furnace filter. It's just appropriate for mild dust collection.

Got this to cover my 13 x 26 cold air return vent. It was bringing in a lot of cold air and furnace is not turned on yet. I got magnets and did not use the velcro strips because I live in an apartment and did not want to damage the paint on the vent. The material is doing a great job keeping cold air out and is quality. It was easy to use; just cut it to the size you need. I felt it was a great value.

Good product. You have to measure and cut. So far tape sent with item is working well. Not the easiest to cut.

I live in a very dusty area by a gravel road, as you can imagine dust is a struggle and it get's into everything. I really wanted something to help with the vents this year when we had to turn on the furnace and these have already helped. Normally myself and my son would be sneezing a lot but not so far! Our allergies have barely been an issue since my spouse installed these over the vents. There is a slight smell, but not a bad one, it smells like warm laundry since this is polyester. Some air flow does get restricted, obviously, you're placing a semi solid cover over an air vent, but plenty of air still comes through. The house is just as warm as it's meant to be. If that is a concern and you want to 'thin' it out a little, you can just pull on it and it opens up more. The velcro holds it on just fine, no issues there though we did place ours on the 'bottom' of the cover that sits in the floor. Unsure how well it would hold if not placed between the floor and cover. Will update later (if I remember) to include pictures when we change them out.

Not terribly impressed with the initial impressions.. Looks like thin felt type material rather than something that might filter the air. Time will tell if they work to reduce dust.

Simple to install. Great product.

This is very easy to install for all intake vents. No need to worry about right filter sizes before going to store. It comes with velcro, just measure to length, cut and set. Same thing with filter, cut to measure and stick it on to velcro, simple as that. Use sharp scissors, knife or cutter for easy cutting. For this amount, this is way cheaper and will save you $$& than buying pre-made. It is electrostatic and dust will adhere efficiently. No chemical smells. Say goodbye to allergies and say hello to clean and dust free air inside your home / office NOTE: this is effective for air intake vent. For AC handlers, I will still use the pre-made, boxed filter.

I used on wall units as pictured on the ad for the product. Did it exactly. I turned on my unit and after awhile smelled something bad, worse than the dust smell I get without this product. Checked it out and the velcro and tape were so hot I had to turn it off. Sadly, It was a total waste of money. If I had purchased something like this in a store at least I could have taken the melted evidence into the store to get my money back. I felt like this might be a fire hazard. Now, I have a sticky mess on the outer rim of vent where the velcro had been attached. So, time and money wasted. Maybe I can use the velcro someday for something else so I'll keep that. What else can you do?

Been buying these for some time but they are not the Lisol brand anymore but some Chinese copy. The fabric texture is different and doesn’t come with Velcro.

Dear Seller, This is my fourth packet of your product and to date it has been far superior to any others. We have tried one other but it was too thin and we came back to your product. We use it to filter the inlet of fresh air under pressure to our flat. It has stood up to the pressure. We have found the new delivery to be very thin and we wanted to know is this is now the new quality. Rgds L. Demetri

These have been a god send. I have allergies. I have 2 cats and a dog. Every winter my nose is running and I'm constantly sniffing. Since having these up this year on my cold air returns, nothing, except when I got the flu. The installation was simple, cut to size, add velcro (included) and put up and my allergies have been not as noticeable. I don't know why it took me so long to figure this out, but I'm glad I did. Everyone in the house can breathe easier.

Queria estos filtros para poder ponerlo en las rejillas de mi aire lavado ya que este tiende a traer mucho polvo de afuera. El contenido es tal y como dice en la descripción, una pieza grande de filtro para que uno la mida y recorte a su necesidad y una cinta de velcro y la otra cara un pegamento. Me agrado el detalle que la cinta es bastante en general para lo que puedas necesitar, y la cantidad de filtro es apropiada para el precio. El filtro si parece hacer su trabajo correctamente y el aire si se siente en mejor estado ahora. Lo Malo: Después de poner el filtro si esperaba una reducción en el flujo del aire, pero la verdad lo redujo en al menos un 50%. Eso significa que mi aire lavado es ahora 50% menos eficaz lo cual si se me hace algo a considerar bastante. Si estas dispuesto a reducir considerablemente el flujo de tu aire es un buen filtro. Pero se que mucha gente no consideraría aceptable la reducción.
