For the money these are excellent. More than bright enough to see you through a power cut or camping. The lights are not bulky or heavy - most of the weight is due to the 3 AAA batteries (supplied). Opening the case and fitting the batteries is easy - this is not always the case. The light has 3 settings which are accessed by the press button on the top of the housing. Press 1 = high; press again for low; press again for strobe. The high setting is quite bright enough indoors for most tasks. The low setting gives you plenty of light to move around safely. The strobe would be easily visible outdoors to mark your position in say an emergency. The headbands are comfortable to water and seem strong. Overall these lights are a bargain for general use.

I thought it would be prudent to pick these up in anticipation of the much talked-about winter blackouts, and they should prove to be very useful if needed. The box they arrived in was smaller than anticipated; I thought they might be a little small and flimsy, but this is certainly not the case: the torch unit itself is a little bigger than a matchbox, but extremely well-made. The clasp on the battery bay door is solid, and the hinged light seems strong and robust. For such a small unit, the luminosity is fantastic: the low-beam setting would easily be strong enough to guide you around the house safely and read a book by (as shown in picture), with the strobe light an excellent plus point if you get lost and want to provide a beacon for emergency services. Having only worn the torch(es) for a short period of time to ensure they worked, I was surprised by how comfortable they were; the elastic strap grips tightly but softly, and while you can feel the pressure of the torch unit against your forehead, it's smooth enough that it doesn't dig in. I'm not sure I'd want to wear one continuously for hours on end, but it certainly won't be an issue over short periods of time at irregular intervals. These handy little torches will give you a much-needed element of safety if out jogging or walking to/from work in the early hours, and are something of a must-buy if you're a cyclist, when they will be worn over a cycling helmet. Having just bought these, I can't comment as to battery life, but the low setting is fine if you're using them around the home during a blackout to help with longevity. Overall, an absolutely sound investment if you need close-quarters illumination whilst keeping your hands free. Definitely worth the asking price to provide a bit of extra security in a blackout. One final piece of advice: when you put these on, work from front to back and position the light on your forehead first - that elastic strap has quite a snap to it :)

Gritin LED Head Torch, [2 Pack]: It seems a nice, simple head light to use. PROS: I like that the lamp tilts and I like that the battery compartment has a rain gasket. Batteries are included, but are probably bottom-of-the-cheapo-barrel. It only has 3 lighting modes, which is quicker to cycle through than 6. The light is bright enough for me. It says it has a 3-year warranty. The lamp is lightweight, so less annoying than heavier ones. CONS: I was misled by the product image which shows a strap that looks about 4mm thick. It's not; it's just a typical thin elastic strap (the type that rarely lasts). The user manual is printed in microscopic text, but usage is pretty self-explanatory. It's expensive for a Chinese effort (one star deducted) but so are most head lamps on Amazon, these days. The maker's web site cannot be reached, so forget extending the warranty.

Don't leave reviews often but these were fab! I have quite a large head so was really worried they wouldn't fit or be uncomfortable as picture from seller doesn't do them justice. They are completely stretchy comfortable material and adjustable size. I plan to wear one (adult lady) and one is for my 12 year old son. They came with batteries which I wasn't expecting. Putting batteries is super simple, no need for a screw driver etc. light very bright, actually does my new normal torch some shame. Very impressed

Great Value, Bright Light for Everyday Use I picked up the Gritin LED Head Torch 2-pack mainly for evening walks and the occasional camping trip, and so far I’m really impressed. The COB LED gives a wide, even beam of light that makes close-up tasks like setting up a tent or walking the dog much easier. The head strap is comfortable and easily adjustable, and the lamp tilts so I can point it exactly where I need it. There are three modes — high, low and flashing — which cover most situations. On high, it’s surprisingly bright for such a small, inexpensive headlamp. On low, it’s good for preserving battery life. I also appreciate that it’s very lightweight; after a few minutes you almost forget you’re wearing it. A couple of small downsides: it runs on AAA batteries rather than having a built-in rechargeable battery, so you’ll need to keep spares handy. It’s also not designed to be a heavy-duty or long-throw spotlight — it’s best for close to mid-range lighting. Overall, though, for the price of a single premium headlamp you get two of these. They’re perfect for running, camping, fishing, or keeping in the car for emergencies. Excellent value for money.
