(3 Pack) Lion Brand Yarn 640-123E Wool-Ease Thick and Quick Yarn, 97 Meters, Oatmeal

I have purchased several colour ways of this yarn, wood nymph, mermaid, pegasus, chimera, serpent, wizard, sphynx, and have been happy with them all. The yarn feels soft for a pure acrylic and is a pleasure to work both crochet and knit. It's also flexible I've used needle/hook sizes from 4mm to 6mm to achieve different looks. Sometimes I do find a knot join in a ball, this I nothing unusual in my experience (I've found knot joins even in 25g and 50g balls) and is easily dealt with anyway I just remove the knot and attach the yarn as I would for a colour or ball change. All in all good value, lovely to work with, great colours I plan to be using a lot of this yarn :)

Working with this wool by crocheting a lovely baby blanket..I will definitely buy again.

I bought two skeins of the same colour to work on a baby blanket project. The first skein was near perfect. The yarn had no faults and was so easy to work with. The second skein had many knots and seemed like the yarns were tied together when they snapped off. It had many more defects like loose thread. Colour is the same as seen in the picture. Overall a good purchase.

I’ve bought 4 skeins. I’m on the second skein. The yarn width and softness has been inconsistent on both skeins. I’ve encountered one knotted join so far. The colour shifts and lengths seem to be inconsistent between skeins. I have hardly any length of some colours on one skein and then lots of length those colours on the second. But what’s the worst is the second skein has a waxy residue on it that makes crocheting anything but smooth. It’s built up on my hook, my fingers. The white waxy residue is even visible on the darker colours of yarn. Not ideal. I’m carrying on because I love the colour combo but not sure I’d buy more.

Lovely wool, easy to with with, as described, colourful and good quality

Lovely soft wool, great colourways. I am using a 3.5mm hook not the 5mm as suggested by the ball band. 5 felt way to big and the work too loose. I bought the original 2 balls in January and loved the wool but in September I bought one futher ball using 'buy again'. This wool is hard and does not have the same soft drape. It does not feel the same at all. I would not have bought this again. I'm very disappointed. Was this a substitute supplier? Was this really Lion Brand yarn?

I ordered this to finish a project for a gift. It came in the time as advised when ordered and was exaclty the ply and ball size and was able to finish in time

Der Farbverlauf ist wirklich schön und die Wolle lässt sich gut verarbeiten. Für einen Sommer-Loop-Schal ideal. Für den Winter ein bisschen dünn, aber super weich.

I was very surprised when the yarn arrived, and looks nothing like the picture, and nothing like the yarn I had purchased from them a before. When I contacted Lion Brand about the issue, they blew me off. I love Lion Brand yarn, but not Lion Brand customer service.
