Hoover Tank Handle for Dual V

Works good as a replacement for my original handle on the hoover V-max all terrain floor cleaner cleanwater tank. The original handle shattered when the full tank of water slipped off the machine as I was trying to insert the tank and landed on the tank handle. Really need the handle to hold the tank in place. I was using a bunjie cord for a while but the tank would sometimes not sit right and leak all over the place.

2nd one just broke when washer tank jumped out of machine. bad design overall on the way the wash canister attaches. junk plastic for a handle. two breaks in six months.

The handle works well, but I should have ordered 2 of them. The tank detached and broke the handle half way through my cleaning. Its the design of the cleaner itself not the handle, but at the same time the unit works very well. Basically, never lift the unit and carry it with a full tank of water, and be very sure it is properly latched before letting go of it when attaching. I'm not going to say just make stronger handles because if the handle didn't give then the tank itself would probably break. But this review is about the handle I bought, it fits and works well, but I would order 2 not just one.

Without fuss-it fits and allows you to use your steamer again. Without the handle in place, the top tank can't be placed into the steamer and the steamer can't be used. This is great. It snaps in place on the sides of the canister. Be sure you don't spread the ends apart to far and break it. Spread just enough to fit into the canister top's side slots. It is possible to put it in upside down but then the handle won't go down. You will know immediately if it is in backwards. Simply spread it again, gently, and then flip it and reinstall. That's it. It works and fits great. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Accidently dropped my sister-in-law's cleaning tank and the handle broke as it bounced down a flight of stairs. I wasn't optimistic about finding just the replacement handle because of the age of the machine. Although the model number was no longer listed, the design looked the same so I took a chance and ordered it. The part fit perfectly, was a reasonable price, and arrived very quickly. It made my day not having to buy a new cleaner!

So I was about to carry the steam cleaner down the stairs when the water tank slipped out of it and went crashing down. Apparently, this isn't the correct way to get one downstairs; the handle snapped clean off. Finding this replacement handle saved me from having to shell out for a whole new tank.Seems to be identical to the original piece (functionally, at least - I never compared the color) and the cleaner is working fine.

Not much to say about a handle. It fits, didn't seem super flimsy when I put it on and is holding up well so far.
