It was easy to assemble at first, but the more we have used it the two wooden halves have swollen and buckled so you can’t get them into the inside of the press. It is very sturdy. It’s quite easy to clean, until it starts to get black on the wood between the slats. But the most frustrating bit is that the screw part doesn’t go to the bottom of the press and the extra wood bits only allow you to press down half way so lots of fruit left only half pressed

This cider press is strong and well made it has a strong bar to turn it with and the wooden board are of good quality too
