this pair of side cutters is part of my 3D printer tool kit. I appreciate the spring between the handles and they're plenty sharp. I'm using these mostly for filament and copper wire so they're not getting abused at all. this is an easy recommendation to make.

I got my first set about 2 years ago to cut out tennis string quickly from racquets and it worked as needed. They were very sharp and operated smoothly. The clippers were used to cut some low gauge wire and they’re not made for that so it affected how well they cut tennis string. I ordered a new pair. This is where it gets weird. The new ones arrived taped to a piece of cardboard that left a residue on the grips I had to het off with a combo of wd-40 and Dawn. But they otherwise seemed like the same high quality as the first set so I decided to keep them. Notice that the piece of cardboard was branded as IGAN. That’s when I noticed that the new pair had etching that read IGANCE. Altogether, I’m not sure if this is just a factory error or an indication I got a counterfeit item. All other markings appear correct and the new pair feel, look and operate like the old pair. So for now, four stars.

These are good wire cutters with a spring to hold them open when not in use. They're a good size for general electronics and hobby work, but probably too small for household wiring and other projects.

These are very sharp and easily cut through medium gauge wire. They are also lightweight. The cutting area is slightly curved which I liked. The only negative is I wish there was a way to store them without them being open.

I brought these cuters for work, I nip plastic all day long. These nippers are better than the ones my work gives us, they fit in my had nice and they spring back open easy. Only draw back is I have to sharpen them once a day and like I said I use my nippers for 8hrs straight.
