These knives are fine for the amateur chef. The hold a cutting edge very well and are dishwasher safe.

Very sharp knife set. They look professional and do the job well. Nice weight and balance. I got to cook there at my sisters and these knives were great.

These knives are sharp and comfortable, I really like them except they do not appear to be dishwasher safe. Every knife from this set we put in the dishwasher came out with rust spots. I've never had this with our last set in the same dishwasher. We do however like the knifes enough that we will keep them and handwash and dry them right away.

nice sturdy handles , come sharp , stay sharp , easy sharpening stone to keep sharp , I am going to buy stock in band aids due to how many times I can't remember that I am actually using a good set of knives ! Worth every dime you have to pay ! The best knife you will ever find ! I wished storage block could be designed for countertop , but with the size and quantity of knives in the block they did the best they could do with what they were working with !

These knives are really sharp - for now, at least - and not that heavy. I cannot comment on durability yet because we haven't had the set that long. I will admit that food prep is a little fast with these knives because cutting is faster as sawing back and forth with these sharp knives isn't necessary since just a swipe down and a little push ahead gets through everything we've tried to cut so far. While not a deal breaker, the block itself could use an adjustment. In the picture. the left most item is the sharpening steel. It is plain to see that the handle is too close to the first knife and there is PLENTY of room (in comparison) to move that slot a tad closer to the second knife. Again, not a deal breaker, just an easily fixable (by the manufacturer) observation.
