BEST CUP EVER
We have a fairly decent coffee collection in our home coffee bar. Obsession I think they call it! Upon opening the bag ( a ritual here) it was quite apparent we had something totally different here. First cup right out from under the aeropress. Arguably the best coffee I have ever tasted. Smooth with complex flavors all over the place .. did I mention smooth and velvety? A little grass fed non homogonized warmed milk and just stay home ... enjoy a fine experience with this coffee. Is there a 6th star I can add? I already ordered more...

Your resident coffee snob here
Yes, I am a self-proclaimed coffee snob. That means that what I say about coffee is fact, and I'm only partially kidding.Seriously, though, I am very particular in how I like my coffee. I also like to try new roasters. My usual brand is Illy because I can get it in the supermarket and it's normally very consistent. How I rate coffee is pretty simple. A 5 means the coffee is perfect, out of this world, and there are quite a few that I would give this rating to. A 4 means that the coffee is quite good. A 3 means it's drinkable. A 2 means it's best as a cold brew, and a 1 means I couldn't drink it.I give this coffee a solid 4, and I'll explain why it didn't get a 5.First off, my favorite "single origin" coffee is an Ethiopian Yrgacheffe. Typically, your Ethiopian coffees are either Yrgacheffe or Sidamo. Without a label, I expected this would be a mixture of the two, and I think I was right. It certainly tastes like a mixture of the two.Additionally, I am a fan of light roast coffee. With a light roast, the individual accents that typically come from different regions are highlighted, and a Yrgacheffe is typically enjoyed best as a light roast. The way I see it, most coffees are enjoyed best as a light roast, and the only reason to brew it dark is to cover up something that's not right.Same thing goes for cold brew. You can make an old and stale coffee taste pretty decent by roasting it dark and cold brewing it, but you ruin premium coffees by doing that. Well, you don't ruin them. You just make them taste the same as the crappy beans.Because of these two issues, which are pretty minor to most coffee drinkers, I can't give this coffee a 5. But let me just say for the record that it is really good. I can't stop thinking about how, if it was roasted more lightly, it could be better, though. They advertise it as being "bright and clean". I wouldn't agree with that, as it isn't light enough to be "bright and clean". At first, it tends to be bright and clean, but the finish tends to be a bit dark, heavy, and lingering; and that's the primary reason why I tend to avoid dark coffees. For folks who are interested in undertones, what we do have is a dominant earthy flavor that is mostly punctuated by the floral nectar listed on the label. This is where most of the best flavor comes from. I can also see the raw honey, as that is typically also very reminiscent of floral nectar.I really don't see the lemon tart, though, or any hints of citrus or fruit in this coffee. All in all, I would highly recommend this to folks who like medium to dark roasted coffee. I would not recommend it to someone who prefers a light roast.

Finally found it after nearly 30 years
Some 29 years ago my co-workers and I frequented a small mom and pop coffee shop. That shop featured many different blends and beans, but once a week they offered a light roast Ethiopian coffee that was simply amazing. It had the flavor, aroma, and best of all was easily the highlight of everyday.Sadly the coffee shop was surrounding by large chain coffee dealers and eventually closed. I tried several other light roast Ethiopian coffees offered by the shops that came, but they weren't right. I wish I had paid more attention to the name as it would have helped in my search. So I was thinking about those days when I decided to search on Amazon and that is when I found this coffee. I placed the order and it came quickly (another plus). I pulled out my burr grinder, got my coffee maker ready and brewed a pot of coffee that reminded me of those days nearly 30 years ago. The smell, the flavor, the color, everything. If you are looking for a simply beautiful clean, nutty, smooth cup of coffee, this is it!

but I've already tried a few different brands sold here on Amazon and this is so far my favorite! Most of the coffees I've tried so far ...
I am just starting to get into the world of real coffee, but I've already tried a few different brands sold here on Amazon and this is so far my favorite! Most of the coffees I've tried so far have reviews that talk about fruity flavor and while I've enjoyed the coffees I've tried, I have yet to notice any kind of flavor other than roasted coffee. Until now that is. As others have said, as soon as you rip off the top of the sealed bag you can smell the difference between this coffee and most others. The smell of blueberries, other fruits I cannot name, and nutty coffee is so strong and wonderful and it comes through very well in the brew. I was very careful to brew according to instructions I found online using my Chemex brewer and wound up with the best tasting cup of black coffee I have ever had and I have trouble drinking black coffee. Truly outstanding! This is a coffee I will have in my house for as long as I can get it.

Wow! AMAZING
Wow, this is just THE most amazing coffee! Full bodied, not at all bitter and just the most amazing savory flavor I have ever had in a coffee. Believe me I have tried a lot! I am 47 and in an attempt to stop a diet Coke habit about (6 liters a day, yeah I know crazy) 3 years ago , I made a switch to coffee to get a bit of the caffeine I was used too and I knew Coffee was much better for me! The problem was, I HATED coffee. I swore there was not a coffee In the world that would make me go back for seconds. So I spent the last few years trying to prove myself right but remaining hopeful! I tried everything I could get my hands on, friends and family gave me their best and their best suggestions. I won't even tell you how much money I spent looking for that PERFECT coffee. I even made a chart and researched what made a good coffee, how to make it etc! I was invested and dedicated! Lol! Then like a gift from God 😂 came this AMAZING COFFEE! It had the IT fact that no other coffee had ever had. In my "testing" phases, I always had to try more than one cup (not in a row) before making a decision. I liked it immediately but by the 3rd cup I was in Love with this amazingly delectable coffee! I gave all my other coffee away and started buying only this and even bought it for gifts! If you are looking for AMAZING, Please , give this a try. I cannot recommend it enough! Also, FYI , I never leave reviews. So for me to take the time to leave a review , hope that tells you something! I even wrote the company to let them know how much I loved this coffee!
