Well designed and well made. Fixed two leaking hoses of slightly different diameters. Hardware was sturdy. Very quick installation. Pro tip: Placed the cut end of the hose in a cup of very hot water to soften the rubber, and added a drop of liquid dish soap around the end the metal tips. They went into the hose easily. Tighten the two screws evenly and you're done.

Fittings work well where a hose fitting was mashed & needs to be replaced. These screw-clamps have been water-tight for a solid 6 months so far, more than match the quality of a crimped hose fitting.Much better quality than the flimsy rolled sheetmetal hose fittings you get with basic hoses at Lowes, it makes a good upgrade for cheap hoses. The clamps are rounded enough that I haven't had a problem with them catching on stuff when dragging a hose through the yard.

It is advised to put the hose end in some hot water before attempting to shove it over the receiving end. This makes it lots easier. The "clamping" portion, using two screws requires considerable force in the last several turns of the screws to fully close the clamp. I suppose that's a good thing as it is unlikely to come loose. Just to be sure I used some teflon tape on the connecting threads and no leaks whatsoever. Of course didn't try without so it may well have not leaked that way either. All metal construction feels very solid and reliable. Time will tell.

I was really happy to have these rather than having to go to the local store and pay a ton for the same thing, if they had it in stock.The screws are a great size for bigger screw drivers and everything goes together in a relatively easy way.

My garden hose had a slit in it. We can’t replace it because it’s cemented to the faucet with minerals. I used this and there is no more leak! It doesn’t come with instructions but they are on the Amazon site.

Used to repair the ends of an old hose. Works well.

I purchased these to mend some 5/8" hoses based on the product description which says that these work for both 5/8" or 3/4" hoses. I tried them on several different 5/8" hoses (each a different brand) that I have which needed to be repaired and the 3/4" metal inserts I received with this product did *not* fit in any of the 5/8" hoses that I have.I had previously purchased some 5/8" hose repair parts that use a metal ring clamp but some of them were leaking regardless of how much I tightened the metal ring clamps. I kept the 5/8" insert I had purchased before but discarded the metal ring clamps that came with them which were letting the hose leak and instead used the screw on fitting I received with this product to secure the fitting. That worked and my hoses stopped leaking. The metal clamps included with this product work better than the metal ring clamps sold with many of the other hose mending kits.This seems to be a good product and I think it would work great on a 3/4" hose that needs to be mended. If you have a 5/8" hose that needs to be mended then look for something else, or purchase this plus an additional 5/8" repair part which includes a 5/8" metal hose insert not a 3/4" metal hose insert.If this company sold a 5/8" hose repair kit that would be the ideal solution as the outside clamp part works great. However, inserting a 3/4" insert into a 5/8" hose does not work, at least with any of the brands of 5/8" hoses that I have purchased.

These worked well but make sure you do not pinch yourself while tightning the screws. I did. Ouch.

I don't think this could be done better. Strong, reusable if you have to cut and replace a hose. The plastic type or types with hose clamps are difficult to tighten and typical band clamps lead you to cutting your hands on them.

It leaked a bit but tightens well stopped the leak

After my son ran over the garden hose, I used the repair kit, and voila, I did not need to replace my hose.
