High quality drive bay assembly
I know there were past reviews by bloggers about how this seemed to be an over priced unit (and that that were DIY 3D printing solutions that would cost less than $100). Yes, it is costly, but I found it's well made and fits like a glove in the 2019 Mac Pro (for the price of these systems when new or refurbished, Apple should've simply had something like this already as part of the system - I guess they wanted to push their premium priced proprietary T2 secured flash drives though). I also looked at the cost from that perspective (it's a drop in the bucket by comparison). But that rant aside, this mounting system was a no hassle experience that allowed me to add two old school 7200 RPM 8TB drives (for scratch space plus my home folder) along with a 4TB SSD. Once 8TB SSD's come down in price, I'll eventually swap out those HD's.

Remove the zip-ties on the cables!
I bought this product to add some HDD storage to my 2019 Mac Pro. The idea is very clear and installation was very straightforward. Until the first post-installation boot, that is.Upon the first boot, one of the HDD’s wasn’t being recognized. Faulty HDD? Nope. The HDD was working fine when connected using external cases. It turned out that the cable, with zip ties applied by sonnet themselves to keep the setup as neat as possible, was barely plugged into the SATA ports. I know it sounds weird, but the thing is that the zip ties were putting unnecessary tension on the cables, making the SATA connection less stable. You know when you call technical support, the first thing they tell you to do is to check if all cables are connected properly? This was one of those situations. Only this time, it was the manufacturer that made it hard to get a proper connection. So I took some nail clippers to clip off the zip ties, and with the SATA connection stable, all HDD’s are recognized properly and work without issues.Looking back, I can just shrug off the small hiccup. But that is not to say that I didn’t panic, because at one point I thought the SATA port on the motherboard was bad. And god knows how much it would have cost to replace the motherboard. So my word to sonnet; get rid of those zip ties! Function comes first. Tidiness second. Not that removing the zip ties make the setup any messier.

This is exactly what you need to install extra HD's in your 2019 Mac.
The real Question is, why didn't Apple include these with the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ machine, like they did with the old Mac Pro's.With that mini-rant out of the way, I'll continue. These are top quality and they fit perfectly.Everything that you need is included.Just mount your drives in the rack and insert it into the computer.I run two extra drives on my machine. The OS and Apps are on the main SSD.My personal account is on HD2 (physical drive).Time Machine is on the 3rd HD (physical drive). When I got the new Mac Pro, I just pointed it to my personal account on HD2 and then force inherited the Time Machine drive by the new machine. It's just like I had it in the old 2012 Mac Pro, but now running Ventura. The price of this item shows how proud the manufacturer is of it.After what you spent on the new Mac Pro, it's a bargain.Buy one now.You won't regret it.

Fantastic upgrade for 2029 or 2023 Mac Pro
If you have a 2019 or 2023 Mac Pro (MP), this is the way to add internal SATA SSD or HD storage. There is a similar product available but 1) it has no 2.5" SSD mounts included, 2) it only supports 2 drives, 3) it requires you to purchase one HD of their brand/type choice as part of the product.Installation of a drive takes 5 to 10 minutes and that includes discounting cables, opening and closing the MP, and reconnecting cables. It is quite simple and the process uses existing mount points and SATA connectors that Apple designed into the MP for this purpose. However, the installation is unlike other internal drive mounts you've ever encountered. If the included instruction sheet is not sufficient, see the YouTube video "How To Upgrade Storage In 2019 Mac Pro - Add up to 44TB of Storage!"

Not much choice really, if you want to add HD to your Mac Pro 7,1.
Well made and designed, although expensive… but not so much compared to the one Apple tries to flog as an add-on in their store. Comes with cables. The 3rd connection Apple provides - to which you can add a 3rd drive - is a joke … USB vs SATA (I am rolling my eyes here). You can find a 3rd company that has something cheaper, but factor in the transportation, customs etc., and its almost the same price. The Amazon « customs included » package seems reasonable and I had no issues with extra charges (like DHL and FedEx will tack on).

If you have a Mac Pro, this is an essential accessory
The whole point of buying a Mac Pro is to fill it with accessories. As it doesn't have HD brackets natively, this one is absolutely essential. It comes with the necessary cables to connect two hard drives of any size and one 2.5" one. Two SATA and power cables are provided to connect to the internal sockets as well as a USB to SATA converter to use with the internal USB port. Note that the internal USB port is USB 2 and only provides about 850mA, not enough for many HDs.
