Bought this a year ago and it was fine. This latest batch fizzes. Spoke with the company and they say the new formula allows for better absorption. So the fact that the formula is now fizzes and taste different does not negate the fact that it is still calcium akg but also now it’s better because of the better absorption. I do feel more energy so the benefit is great. Much appreciated.

This is a promised follow up from my review in July 2022. I had 2 surgeries in the second half of 2022 and I briefly dropped the C-AKG and some other supplements from my daily regimen on the advice of surgeons. Surgeries and rehab affected my biomarkers (some out of normal) and overall physical conditioning dropped while I had to wait for my body to heal. At the start of 2023, I added back the Maxx Herb Calcium-AKG daily to my supplement regimen taking one or two scoops daily. I am pleased to report that all of my blood biomarkers are now in the expected range and are at excellent levels for my age group. I think the following is an important confirmation that C-AKG can produce positive anti-aging effects. Last summer family members thought my hair was evolving from blond into a grayish or whitecolor. Today I am happy to report that my hair is back to a fully Blond color !!! I expect to keep theMaxx Herb C-AKG in my supplement regimen and highly recommend this product.

This product is not pure calcium alpha ketogluterate as advertised and clearly printed on the label. Pure calcium alpha ketogluterate does not react with water causing CO2 release. This product causes a reaction when added to water producing foam like Alka Seltzer. This means they have added sodium bicarbonate. False advertising. Who knows what is really in the product if they are willing to lie about the ingredients. This needs to be removed from the Amazon store.

Only been on the product for three weeks so It’s hard to know at this point what the eventual overall benefits will be but I must say I have noticed a degree more energy in the morning after I take it with my morning yogurt. Check back in a couple months.

Don't write reviews that often. If I do, it's because I have felt the effect of the supplement in a tangible way immediately upon ingestion. In other words, the proof is in the pudding. This supplement seems to have supplied that effect. Upon combining this with another supplement, Neo40 as well as Genius Consciousness powder, the combined effect allowed me an enhanced degree of mental facility in dealing with complex abstract reasoning. It's not that I couldn't do it before, it's that this product seems to have allowed me to reach that state more easily and consistently than without it. The aforementioned products are pricey, but do seem functional.

It seems to really help with white hairs that appear with aging. I feel like my skin looks younger and my hair has more body and is turning black again; but I will know more after finishing at least two bottles. I take one serving in the morning and one in the afternoon. Seems to work well with eggs.

I purchased this product several times and was completely satisfied. Then something changed in their formulation. I don’t know what is in their product these days, but it doesn’t behave like Ca-AKG: it fizzes like Alka Seltzer when added to distilled water; and it burns the lining of the mouth when swallowed. After the mouth-burning experience, I had to toss out three containers of this stuff (all with different lot control numbers), because they all exhibited the fizzing behavior. Needless to say, I’ve switched to a different product (from a different supplier).
