This is my 2nd order of this product. I use the bags for making compost tea to use in my garden and they are well suited for the task, but you have to be careful not to pull the drawstrings too tight or they'll come loose from where they are stitched into the bag, otherwise a very fine product.

I wanted to try my first batch of all grain brewing. I tried one of these brew bags and it worked very well for me. It’s a bit large for a five gallon / 20qt pot but worked just fine. The drawstring makes it easy to lock into the pot. The mesh is fine enough to allow for proper steeping and prevent any pieces of grain from passing through. The bag was easy to clean just by rinsing it from bottom to top. It also dried quickly. I wouldn’t use this for any boiling bc my kettles aren’t large enough. But for the single step infusion it worked like a charm. Definitely happy with the performance.

Updated: I added a star because these are really lasting. I’ve been using in a large brew pot, in fermenters and in the cider press. I wish they were a bit taller to better fit fermentation buckets but they are okay regardless. Prior review: Purchased to line the pressing baskets of my cider press. They did the job over about 50 squeezings spread between 2 bags. They do show some wear but I expect they will last another 50 but not more. Be aware these bags are of knitted material and inherently not as sturdy as bags made from woven material. However for the price they provide very good value and I’d buy again. Would work really well as brew bags for home brewing.

Ordered this for brew in a bag beer brewing, worked well. The draw string tightened below the handles on the pot made it tight enough to hold 14 lbs of grain easily, and by folding the excess bag up over the edge it kept the grain and bag away from the bottom of the pot so I had no fear of burning the bag. The only draw back is no loops or anything on the top of the bag so if you use a pulley system to lift out the bag it wouldn't work. I used some muscle to hoist it out, easily lifts by grabbing the excess fabric, no fear of tearing, it felt strong. Gave it a good rinse and it was dry and ready to be used again before the wort had cooled. Glad to have three just in case I tear one on something sharp. Only reason not 5 stars is loops for a pulley would have made it perfect.

Worked great for straining wax cappings. I just lined a bucket with this bag and filled it up. Then lifted the bag and let it drain. I usually had to manually squeeze the bag so it would fit in the honey strainer that sets on top of the bucket then I'd leave it for a couple days.

These bags work well for home brewing, the locking pull string is a great feature as it helps keep the mesh bag tight around the sides of the boil pot. The bags have an anti burn bottom and seem to be made of good quality material and stitching, I like how easy the bags are to clean and reuse.

I loved this!! I have always used regular cheese cloth for what I needed. But it was all too small and I struggled. This is so nice and big and durable! I absolutely love how easy it was to clean! I turned it inside out and ran it under hot hot water then threw in the washing machine! It came out all clean!

These brew bags are magnificent they are strong very durable and have a lovely drawstring. I have only used one bag so far for my brews and it still looks brand new given a little dyed with the brewing process but they are really good and easy to clean I just turn them inside out and run them under the tap , give them a quick fan outside to get the excess water off then hang over my sink unit to dry which takes a couple of hours in room temperature. Worth every penny the size is great and the performance is super .
