This is a fantastic alternative to todays modern style of fast easily accessible entertainment. I bought this unsolved case file for a games night with friends and it was far to say it went really well !! Hours of entertainment and laughter provided. The physical material them selves are such good quality with amazing attention to detail. I have had other case files before and found this more a little more difficult. I blame the gin involved. 100% recommend this as an alternative to your standard nights in watching movies ect. Fast and officiant delivery provided. I Can’t wait to buy more.

Spoiler free review! I was a little hesitant about buying this given the price tag, but this is a really well put together pack and it feels substantial. It includes photographs, a lot of evidence papers, interviews etc. There were a lot of nice touches too, e.g. suspect packets bundled together with paperclips in a big thick folder made it feel like a lot of work went into preparing it. The whole thing comes in a plastic zip-locked evidence bag. My partner and I spent about 5 or 6 hours or so on this, spread over a couple of evenings (something different for a date night, although maybe the wine slowed us down) and we really enjoyed it. I think it'd work great for a solo game, or as a couple, or as a group. The only downside being that once you know who did it, you can't really play it again! There are 3 objectives as you go through the pack and it includes weblinks to check if you're on the right track as you go through the objectives. The clues are pretty well hidden and you have to really dig for some of them. Overall I'd really recommend this, but I'm still not completely sure it's worth £30, so it's 4 stars from me.

On opening it was a lovely quality. Lots of details. There is a lot of reading at first and you have to keep going back through each step - can’t complain I guess that’s what a real detective would do. It took us about 2.5 hrs to complete the first step of three and we did have to use the clues as it was tough so much stuff to go through with no idea what your looking for at first the second step sounds easier but we haven’t started it yet. I maybe wouldn’t recommend for children due to difficulty and it’s probably done better in a small group

The folks behind Unsolved Case Files really have their games down to a science. I'm a mystery fanatic and an escape room aficionado, so when I started seeing the "cold case files" type of games pop up I knew I wanted to check them out. The ones from this brand are, by far, the best ones I've played. Firstly, I love the linear formatting. You can't proceed to objective b until you have completed objective a, which is beneficial if you're the kind of person who likes to see your progress as you play. There's a very clear beginning, middle, and end. Secondly, I appreciate that the stories actually make sense. This may sound like a weird compliment, but some companies putting out these kinds of games do not put a whole lot of care into them. I've never experienced that playing Unsolved Case Files. This is either my third or fourth purchase from them, so I've gotten used to their style. The stories always tie together very coherently and the conclusions are satisfying. Lastly, I appreciate that these games don't excessively rely on ciphers and codes. Don't get me wrong, I love a good cipher. Brain puzzles are the best. However, ciphers can sometimes become absurd and even take away from the overall experience when they're overused and/or unnecessary. These games stand on their own. They don't throw a bunch of random crap in just to fill space and time. The evidence provided is useful and engaging. Overall, I really enjoy buying from this company. They do a great job putting their stories together and they always provide a good experience. Our weekend game nights are always awesome when we play these!

From the moment we saw the packaging we were excited to play this game. The game assets are all beautifully designed and presented, and the story has a realistic depth and complexity. If you take a methodical approach to identifying suspects with motive, means, and opportunity and scouring all the evidence for clues to back this up you should have no difficulty solving the case.

4 girls aged 12 spend an entire evening and morning playing detective. Truly awesome and they will come together to play another unresolved case file!
