I have a strong admiration for the author's work as it feels very compelling and the art style captures the mood of each scene perfectly. The story itself is a heartwarming LGBT+ story. Even though I usually feel the digital versions of webcomics are visually better, I would actually argue it is entirely worth it to get the physical copy. The pages are stunning and an excellent reference for artists. They're glossy, with a hardback, which very much feels like it will withstand the test of time. The colors are vibrant, the didn't lose any of the stunning pages or coloration. It's also an excellent read to recommend to friends. Review: An absolutely wonder sci-fi graphic novel with queer themes - I originally read this when it was first released on a web platform for digital comics called Webtoons, and even then I knew this was something special. So when I saw that there was an opportunity to own it in a print hardcover copy, I jumped at the chance to add it to my collection and support the author. Ari North is a wonderful person, and that really shines through to her story. It's a story that forces you to look at yourself as you really are, and come to accept all of yourself, even your imperfections. There are always going to be people who love those sides of you even when you cannot. This weaves well with the queer themes and it shapes a realistic and sweet sci-fi romance. I absolutely encourage anyone to pick this book up, as if not just for the story, the art is absolutely gorgeous and vibrant. It really looks great up on a shelf.

Heartfelt and relatable story
The premise of this story is so cute and well written. Each scene and situation makes you think, hits you in the feels and drives you to keep reading. And this is all represented with Ari's beautiful artwork. The flowy and vibrant art style just kind of wraps into the world of two women just trying to love each other the best way they know how. I'm so happy I found this and recommend it very much.

Amazing Queer Sci-fi
This story is everything I've ever wanted. The art is beautiful and unique. The characters are so alive and well detailed, they feel like friends. The worldbuilding is so exceptional, it's easy to jump in and feel so immersed and I really want to know even more. You can tell the amount of detail the author put into writing it. Basically the premise is a world where people have mods and one girl meets another girl who can't use them because she has an autoimmune condition. It is amazing representation for so many groups and none of it feels forced or tokenizing. If you like queer sci-fi, you will like this.

Beautiful, A Wonderful Story For All
When I first read this, a long time ago, I was intrigued immediately to the gorgeous art style the author/artist has. Not only did I stay for the beautiful art but for the storyline itself. I’m telling you, this story will keep you wanting to flip to the next page, never stopping until the very end. These characters have their faults and show us that even they aren’t perfect, they’re always human (get it, hehe) Not to mention the representation of the LGBT+ community in this story is phenomenal. It’s worth reading, 10/10 would DEFINITELY read again and you should too ;)

What It's About: Always Human is a rom-com set in a future world where body modification is as simple as buying cosmetics and augmented reality occupies an important part of daily life. Sunati sometimes sees a girl at the station who doesn't use any mods. It's a strange sight, one you don't see in the city very often. When she notices the girl sneezing, she seizes the chance at a conversation and offers her a simple hay fever mod. It does not go as planned. Thoughts: This is an excellent book, I even bought a physical copy. Ari North can certainly write an interesting story, but I think it's a shame that there's no print copy for the second half, which I would gladly buy. What I Liked About It: The characters of this novel are very well written. They're very human, (always, really) and the story is devoted entirely to them and their interpersonal struggles, so they get very well fleshed out. Despite not having read it in a year or so, I still recall their personalities and, more importantly, their stories -usually such things are banished from my mind, but not in this case. Also, honorable mention to the amount of great expressions contained here, I love them all. What I Didn't Like About It: There's no part two in paper. That's it really. Who Would Like It: Do you like romance and/or comedy? Great, read it. Similar Books: The Scott Pilgrim series by Bryan Lee O'Malley,Another rom-com comic, and also good enough for a place on my shelf. Personal Commentary: Always Human is definitely one of my favorite books of all time. I just love everything here; the world is vibrant; the characters real and understandable; the struggles genuine. As someone who reads first and foremost for the characters, story be damned, this is a godsend. The sci-fi is a core part of the story, but it's not the focus. Rather, it's a vehicle. By setting the world in a far off time where everything is different, the author can highlight some of the parts of humans that don't change regardless of circumstance. Perhaps these are the most important things to know, but either way, it's an excellent use of the genre. I host reviews like these in an arguably prettier format on my website: israelkobi dot com

Excellent print, I like the printed version even more than the webtoon version! Only con: it's only season 1. I didn't see this mentioned in any review, so thought it might be helpful for anyone looking to buy it!
