McCafe Premium Roast Decaf, Medium Roast Ground Coffee, 24 oz Canister

This McCafé Premium Roast Decaf is genuinely good coffee. For a decaf, it has a full, smooth flavor that doesn’t taste thin or watered down. The medium roast comes through well, and it smells and tastes like regular coffee rather than “decaf pretending to be coffee.” It brews consistently and works well for daily use. There’s no bitterness or odd aftertaste, and it’s enjoyable black or with cream. If you didn’t know it was decaf, you probably wouldn’t notice right away. The canister is a good size and keeps the coffee fresh, and the grind works well for standard drip brewing. Quality has been consistent from can to can. The only challenge here isn’t the coffee — it’s me. I really need to reach for this instead of the fully caffeinated version more often. From a flavor standpoint, there’s no reason not to. Overall, this is an excellent decaf option that doesn’t feel like a compromise. If you’re trying to cut back on caffeine without giving up good coffee flavor, this one is an easy recommendation.

This is great tasting decaf coffee and at such a good price I stocked up. I'll store them in plastic to keep them fresh even though the can is sealed. It is a paper can so flavor can get out.

McCafe decaf is pretty good for decaf. I don't drink much coffee any more so I don't consider my self a good judge of coffee but I have been drinking this foe awhile and I'm happy with it.

I love this coffee. I had to cut back on caffeine but did not want to give up the taste of a good cup of bold flavored coffee that I would get from the regular bold coffee I preferred to drink. I decided to try MCCafe decaf coffee and was surprised by how good it tastes. I once brewed it for a friend and told her it was regular coffee. She could not tell the difference!

Needed to switch to decaf coffee about 5 years ago. Can't tell you how many different brands I've tried. Who would know, that my favorite decaf on the road would turn out to be my favorite decaf for home use.
