Amazing Quality
Wish I would have purchased this years ago. It has made cleaning up downed trees around our property so much easier. The construction is amazing and very heavy duty. I am loving every time I use it. Great product!

Sturdy-Low cost-Worth every penny !
After another cant hook combo didnt show i was scrambling for a new one This log lift caught my eye and after reading some reviews I bit the bullet. First off very well made and sturdy im moving dense hardwoods (red oaks, white oaks, hickory etc) and its a breeze. Unlike its competition it has a bar connected to the neck to ensure the log jack won't bend or give under the weight of the tree. The only negative i have is that it won't hold smaller logs in place once jacked up off the ground. I would also recommend adding small bottle of lock tight as the two pieces have un screwed with heavy use. Maybe even consider making a larger such as 60 in handle ? Just a suggestion ! All in all if you need a reliable log jack this is the one to buy it far exceeded my expectations with the price I paid. Sturdy ,easy to use, and great value for money !

Works well heavey construction.
One must weight the quality against the cost and the amount of use you intend to make of it. For a lumber jack, it is likely not the right fit. For a weekend warrior like myself, it serves the function well. My main reason for not giving 5 stars on most things is the way it is constructed. The components are not precisely made resulting in a lot of 'slop' when in use. Also the assembly instructions could use a little work. For instance, the first thing they want you to do is assemble the handle. I found it much easier to assemble all the rest of the components and screw on the handle extension as the last step. On the subject of not being precision made - one of the holes that the slip pin is supposed to go through was too small and will require drilling out if I should ever decide that I need to make use of the feature. A simple enough operation, but one that should have been done in manufacture. All in All it is heavy enough made for my purposes and should I lose this one and require a replacement, I would look at it again.

Save your back and hands!!
I have been cutting logs for years! Recently I caught my hand between two logs and smashed a finger which I broke which also required stitches! With this well made timber jack, I keep my hands out of the way and the leverage this tool exerts, eases the strain my back which I was feeling forcing the logs in a position for cutting. Easy to assemble, easy to use on small and large logs. Well made of heavy steel. Also it came with instructions and bolts to assemble. Thanks for a great product!!

Works well
The joints are kinda sloppy but it's heavily build and really bites into logs without slipping.

Excellent tool!
This is a really sturdy tool and well worth the money as it is so useful. All the materials are heavy duty and not going to bend, unless used by a gorilla. Maybe not even then. The only thing to add to your purchase is half a dozen stainless M8 washers. These are to take up the slack between the swinging arm and on one or two other bolts as needed, and is mentioned in the other reviews. Thanks to them. Take the time to put it together right and you will have no other problem with it ever again. Love it.

Robust construction, cheap hardware, horrible documentation. Good for the price point
All steel construction: A plus, as it's strong without being prohibitively expensive. Triangular brace on the stand side is a nice touch. I'm cutting up 16" Douglas Fir logs over 24" in diameter, a lightly built cant hook or timber jack wouldn't last a day. I only cut firewood logs a few times a year, so I can manage with a somewhat heavy log jack. If I were working with a chainsaw for a living, I'd probably look at the Logrite aluminum cant hooks, which would cost about 200 bucks by the time you added the log stand. The hardware is puzzling. M8 bolts and nylock nuts. Bolts are too long for their intended use, leaving 1/2 inch or more of exposed thread, which will undoubtedly become galled and damaged in time. Additionally, the hook pivots on a bolt, not a steel pin. This is something I'll certainly change, either by locating and purchasing a pin, or making one on my lathe. Better hardware, appropriately sized, and a correct pivot pin would go a long way to improving the overall impression of quality. Also, the hook pivots inside a steel bracket, with a great deal of slop. I'll fit up some spacers to close the gap between the hook body and the inside walls of the bracket to fix that issue. Documentation consists of an exploded diagram, with no explanation for the different holes in the pivot bracket, and there is an inexplicable clevis which I believe may be to lock the hook open or closed. I guess...??? Not unhappy, although I should have shopped around. One of the big box stores has the exact same tool for 10 bucks less than I paid, and 20 bucks less than the current price. Do your due diligence before buying from Amazon. FInal thought. There are three "features" I'm asked to rate: Durability, Sturdiness and Thickness (?). Durability and Sturdiness seem to be the same thing, at least functionally. Thickness could be relevant to weight, or to durability (and sturdiness!), but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be so I don't know how to rate that. Yes, it could be thinner, or it could be thicker. Perhaps there should be an additional category for "thinness". The only relevant questions are for durability and functionality. Does it work and does it last? I'll update after I get through the 5 cords of Doug Fir in my back lot.

I cut down dead trees most years or have to deal with fallen trees on my property and have often thought about such a tool. Have used it twice since getting it and it works great for rolling a log to give a slightly elevated cutting position to save your back and your chains. It seems quite sturdy to me, but agree with other comments that a couple of the connections benefit from some washers. In this case I'm glad I saved the money as this is perfect for occasional use through the year. I'd might consider some of the other brands if I was using it daily, but for use on a dozen or so trees a year it more than satisfies the need.

So far it seems to work ok, only thing is when you order it make sure you have 4 to 6 washers with a 3/16 holes on hand because where you connect the leg and bracket the welded plates to hold them in place are spaced out too far out and when you go to tighten the bolts the get bent and the tool looks like its crooked a bit but with the washers it stays straight because it prevents it from going crooked on you. Haven't really tried it much yet but im looking forward to trying it soon.

It was effortless to assemble (takes about 20 minutes) And works as designed. It won't move massive logs (I would not risk yet using it on 30-40" in diameter trees), but for small (10-15") trees it's an unbelievable helper. Furthermore, it's like having an extra hand to hold the tree while cutting it. Highly recommend.

This Timberjack is everything I needed. This unit is extremely well constructed using quality materials and is a workhorse in helping me lift fallen trees to buck up and stack. Saves so much time and energy. Highly recommend it.
