Installed on a 1994 Chevy, fit without any shims.

What I loved about this is that is was a direct OEM and after little adjusting to cable location, installed in no time. I took my time and worked out extremely well!!! Will buy again if need to. I suggest to anyone, if your starter spins and take a few times to connect to the flywheel. Replace the starter and not worry about a rebuild. Saves you so much time just to buy a new starter and be done.

Great Starter! Fits 94 Blazer S10
Great starter. I bought this for my 1994 Chevy Blazer S10. Installation was a breeze. Part fits perfect and works great. Fast quick starter with no loud starting noise.

Good Product
Installing a starter isn't rocket surgery, but it dang sure ain't easy. Great starter. Truck starts extremely fast, even on a cold winter morning. Installed on a '95 Silverado, and am very happy with it. Sucks that it's made in China.

Fits, starts, works.
A few notes: the solenoid bracket does not have room to mount the heatshield, so if you application has a heat shield to protect the solenoid from the exhaust manifold, you will need to swap the shield and the solenoid bracket over. I did not need any shims for this installation, so that was nice. And if, per chance, you are replacing your starter in your '92-'94 Jimmy 4WD. . . remove the lower flywheel cover, and it'll make room to sneak the starter out. This is much easier than jacking up the entire engine.

The mounting points are machine. Flat and straight….. on Chevy S-10 motor mount must be disconnected on passenger side.

Do NOT Buy
Worked for one week after installation. Starter had a high pitch sound. Then bendix stopped working and the starter spun but wouldn't engage the fly wheel. I was stranded at the car wash and had to get a tow home. Price was too good to be quality. I should have known better. Replaced with one from Auto Zone with a lifetime warranty. I can't wait for parts to be delivered.

exact match for my 95 s10. (pro tip: take off the fly wheel cover to gain enough room to easily swap)

The starter works as it should although it is not as good quality as the original. The workmanship is worse than the original and brass bushings have been replaced by plastic but that's the way things are these days. I don't expect this one to last 25 years.
