Classic Vented Hard Contact Lens Remover (Blue, 1 Pack)

Very good product when I take out and put in my RGP contact glasses, my optometrist recommended this in order for me to make it easy to remove and put my contact glasses.

Only DMV I will ever use. So much better than the unvented ones. I always get my lens first try with these.

This works for INSERTION (don't squeeze it) AND for REMOVAL (squeeze-release to create suction, then squeeze (only) to release the lens). I like this much better than expected. Adding a picture because in earlier reviews it seems like there was some discrepancy in which product was shipped. The product I received 12/2019 is vented as shown. SIZE: This plunger is smaller than the 'insertion plunger' from my Dr, and larger than the orange 'removal plunger' from my Dr. I have Scleral lenses (large hard lenses) and the Dr provided 2 separate 'plungers' - one larger vented one for insertion & a smaller non-vented one for removal. It takes a little practice for timing to activate the suction properly to remove the lens with this DMV one, but better functionality overall. Just squeeze to release the suction! My 'removal plunger' from the Dr was not 'vented', so I had to squeeze the tiny sides to release the lens. This one is 'vented', so when you squeeze it, it gently releases the lens. (this is especially good if your aim is not that accurate to get the lens out of your eye!, which is even more difficult when you can't see well!!) I bought this pack to create a few travel/emergency kits (my car, work, etc.) with extra solution, cases, saline, backup glasses, etc.. but now I also use one of these as my everyday plunger tool.

This DMV Classic vented contact lens remover is a game-changer for anyone using hard or RGP lenses. It’s incredibly simple, but it works exactly as intended. It was hard to get my contact lenses out for the first time, but it got easier over time.

This remover does not work very well, does not suction on to the lens very easily.

Little pricy, but the quality is good

As a long time RGP lens user, this is just like the one my doctor gave me, and for a good price too! I like the ones with holes for ease of use since the suction feels better to me. This pack is worth is for me, and I still have new ones for if i lose one!!

Purchased after eye surgery. When I was allowed to put my gas permeable lens back in my eyes, I could not remove them at night. I was unable to "pull" the corners of my eye and pop them out like I had done for 30 years. A search of the internet and I found these. The suction (the whole in the middle) is a must and in no time I became a pro at removing the lenses. Highly recommend if you are a hard contact lens wearer!
