Perfect for recipes
I have used the whole bottle on making Miso black cod twice. It is fabulous for this purpose. I needed sake and mirin so this was great. Tastes fantastic and I think it almost tasted like NOBU..wink wink.

The only mirin we use
It’s been really hard to find mirin in stores lately. This is the brand we used to buy at Target, but we haven’t seen it there in quite some time. I was glad to find it on Amazon. Our favorite noodles require mirin, and the flavor of this particular one is the one we love. Even though it’s a little more expensive, it’s worth it to us.

Bold flavor
Wow such good flavor. I usually buy mirin at local asian markets but this one is remarkably better tasting, very bold.

I looked everywhere for a good Mirin at a decent price. Most I found were synthetic and not recommended. I found this brand. It's affordable and has Sake in it. You can smell it when it is added to the dish. I will repurchase as needed. I'm sure you will like it in your dishes. It is quite versatile. Btw: I had not heard of Mirin until a noodle recipe called for it. I did a bit of research and found this one fit my budget and tasted great.

Not sure why ment@l c@se amz won't let me post a simple review but I'll try again. This mirin is amazing. As soon as you open it you'll be able to smell the familiar scent of a tempura dipping sauce - the type you get when you're out for sushi. I used a recipe for tempura sauce I found online that requires mirin, umami stock, soy sauce and a tiny bit of sugar. It turned out so well. I absolutely love this mirin because there is genuine sake in it, and it's not just a bunch of corn syrup and sugar The recipe I used was ¾ cup dashi 3 Tbsp soy sauce 2 Tbsp mirin 2 tsp sugar Boil together and then let cool.

This is the second time that I have purchased this product over the past year, ever since my wife first found out about it. She uses it quite often when making stir fry sauce (uses a couple of sauces and seasonings together to create an overall flavourable sauce.). She has found out that when she hasn't used it the sauces come up short. So if you like creating your own stir fry sauces in combination with other flavours, this is one sauce you need to try out.
