Other plastic floor-mounted holders failed quickly. This one is rock-solid and finally solved the problem. Highly recommended if you want durability over looks.

If you have an older (say 1970s-1980s) car with bench seats you need an option for holding drinks because few automakers included cup holders back then. They don't really make much in the way of "hump" cup holders anymore and I didn't want a bulky one with CD or casset storage. Enter this product: I drilled a hole in the dead center of each cup holder section and ran a 2" drywall screw into the sheetmetal of the hump to secure it to the floor. I put it off-center (little bit to towards the passenger side) and ran the screw on that side through some scrap rubber to level-off the cup holder so it is flat (humps being curved made this a good idea). Holds fast food drinks & soda cans good. Liked it so much I bought another one for my friend's car when he was complaining about drinks in his 80s station wagon. Metal construction, should last many years.

I used this on a custom center console. Why make it when you can buy a well built sturdy cup holder like this. It can handle almost any size drink with having to adjust anything. It was the most expensive part of my center console project BUT worth the money as I just had to bolt it on so I saved on labor and having to fabricate it.

Excellent quality, although it is a bit pricey. However, it performs exceptionally well and delivers great results. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

This is a heavy-duty piece of equipment. It is made for mounting to their own consoles but I adapted it to my use. I am now planning to buy one of their consoles now that I have experienced their high build quality. Clearly their products are worth the money.
