Useful if you really hate stems
This is very useful if you do a lot of de-stemming and want to minimize waste left by knife trimming. Reduced 3 mn of kale stem slicing to 30 seconds of kale stem stripping. No problem finding just the right size either. Fast, easy and practical.

What a deal
My friend showed me her plastic one on FaceTime and I immediately hit Amazon. I couldn't believe the stainless one, too, for such a price. I have herb shears but this may be even better. With the shears, the herbs have to be dry or they stick in the blades but with this, no problem. Pick and wash and go. Will no doubt use both at different times. I think people who complain are using the stripper backwards, like people who I gift with citrus squeezers; they always put the lemon halves in upside down, the first time. Actually, I did, too. Anyway, you have to pull the stem through backwards so the leaves strip off. Just sayin'.

For getting Kale off the rib.. cut my time in half making juice. Great on herbs etc.. love it..
