Cokin Graduated Neutral Grey G2-SOFT ND8 0.9 Filter - Cokin P121S

Love this filter for me landscape photography. It allows me to cut down the intensity of the sky while keeping the lower part of the frame a few stops brighter. This helps me to achieve correct exposure across the inter image. Plus with the P system you can stack filter for greater ND or a effects.

I really like the Cokin filter system. With ring adapters a single investment can be leveraged to multiple lens and/or cameras. Good quality, and reasonable pricing.

I wouldn't say this is an exceptional quality filter. However, for the price tag, this is a great GND filter. Recommended to all beginners and low budget photographers.

This is a great product, the plexi glass is high quality and certainly does it's job as a graduated ND filter. My only gripe is that I wish it came in a better case with it moving around and not being held firmly in place, it will end up with worn down edges and a scratched up ND filter. There are others out there with better cases, but for the price this does it's job. I ended up just replacing my case with a better one later on.

Love my solid Cokins, but disappointed in this one. I tried to layer a solid neutral density Cokin with this filter, and it left a very strange very obvious purple cast where the two "neutral" crossed each other. So I won't be doing that anymore, but thought it might be useful in a scene with split lighting needs. I would have thought that they used the same coloring process for all of their neutral density filter's, but apparently not If you are new to split filters, here is something to keep in mind. Even though you may have your lens stopped down to F16, your view finder views around f4. Meaning, The line of demarcation on your filter isn't where you think it is in your scene. F4 shows a very shallow depth of field as compared to F-16. If you have a depth of field preview button, do check that and adjust your filter as needed. Since this one has a gradual stop, it is at least a bit more forgiving, but you can still really make a mess of your horizon that might be too difficult to edit later

Disappointed that these filters are now plastic versus glass. All my old Cokin filters are glass. Perhaps it was just where I was, but this seemed to attract dust where as I have not had that issue with my older filters. Still, it goes the trick until I can afford a higher quality filter. Long term I am concerned with how easily this may scratch. Time will tell. Update 3-26-14 - I meant do update sooner. I realize now I was mistaken. I looked at my other filters and they are not glass. They too are plastic. However, they do have a different feel to them though so I still think the newer filters are less sturdy. But with care they should be fine. Still not sure why it seemed to attract so much dust. May have just been a fluke. Still, it does the trick on a budget.

My wife says it is a great filter at a great price. I was happy it got here so quickly and undamaged.

Possedevo già un filtro GND di altra marca, ma risultava una dominante viola negli scatti, ma questo della Cokin è semplicemente ottimo: nessuna dominante. Unico neo la confezione che non è rigida, per il resto consiglio l’acquisto. Ottimo, come sempre, il servizio Amazon.

RAS - arrivé en 1 jour et parfaitement emballé. Je l'ai utilisé sans porte filtre à la main avec appareil sur pied! très pratique et permet de compenser les écrans ciel-paysage quand la luminosité est trop marqué. Je vais certainement en reprendre un avec un "stop" plus important pour les contraste supérieur.
