Having bought two bookshelf (Ymesiyou), the weight of the books had me worried with tipping and/or breaking off even though it's metal (no spine/back support). And using cube organizer shelves (such as Closetmaid) doesn't help if the books are of various sizes, being that the cube sizes are fixed for the most part. Thus the purchase of Vasagle's bookshelves, with two different storage capacities (8 compared to 13) and footprint sizes. They are very good with holding a large number of books of various sizes and weights, which is a plus for me. As the picture(s) shown, and for those who have similar books, knows that the books weight quite a bit. They handled them quite well, with no tipping worries, having a stable base and back support for the wings. Assembly was relatively simple, and one definitely needs a power tool to help with the hex headed screws. The extra bits helped although I think they could use a few more extra pieces. The hex screws didn't work right a few times thus the emergency extras needed to be used. And removing the errant screw wasn't easy since the hex head was stripped thus a small plier and time to extract. I would suggest using some wood glue for the dowel plugs, not that it's necessary but it could help keep the sections together and less gaps if any. Overall, they look great for my room and I'm sure you can repaint to your personal room preference, decorate them with stickers or even use a label printer when sorting the books out and help with returning them to their proper places. Would I buy more? Very likely yes, especially if they come in black to match my furniture. :D

This is a great looking book shelf. I had no problem putting it together by myself. Very sturdy shelves that are holding a lot of my books with no issues. Love the dark wood finish. I’d definitely recommend and purchase again.

Dropped an L-shaped shelf about 4 feet during assembly and it didn't crack or break. I know that's not crazy impressive but I was for sure preparing for the worst like "Great I need to get a replacement part or something..." The whole thing went together super well, lined up WELL ENOUGH for the price point. Everything fit into place without bending or straining it. The screws screwed in, the pegs lined up. No glue included I used my own to give it a little extra rigidity. There's these tiny metal brackets they use for a few random spots that give me zero faith in them doing anything. The screws for those barely pierce the wood and they're so close to the sides your fat screwdrivers won't set them in straight and when you do get them in they sort of spin semi-freely in their pre-drilled holes as if the wood's been stripped but it's somehow still holding cause you can tug it a bit and it doesn't pull loose. I won't question those I just put em in cause I don't want some garbage pot metal laying around or going to waste. Shelf looks nice, a bit smaller than you'll assume from the pictures but I checked the measurements and they were what I needed for my place. It's just underwhelming I guess if you want some big tough looking book shelf. It's heavy on that note. Lifting it after assembly might surprise you. The stickers provided to cover the screws look so bad I'd recommend leaving them off. They're all an identical wood grain with this white edge that really sticks out. Also the shelf wobbles somewhat but it has felt feet and once you weigh it down it naturally settles into it's own alignment. Assembling it was a small nightmare solely for the allen key. It's so tiny, cams out constantly, and the angles to get the screws started can be psychotic at times especially if you're me and you're gluing holes as you go trying to work with gravity as well. Did do it in about an hour and a half by myself but I've done a couple of these. The pictures are awful at times but basic logic helps make sense of it, want the peg holes on the interior, etc. Can't beat ~60 bucks if you get it on sale (might be always on sale for marketing purposes idk).

I really loved this, it's instructions were easy to follow, there were a lot of pieces but it just became muscle memory after a minute of doing it and it was so simple. The bookshelf itself is beautiful and very sturdy. It comes with a wall mount but Im not using it and it still feels so sturdy on the carpet. Perfect amount of space for my books and a few little decorations/plants. It was packaged safely and arrived fully intact. I nicked it with my knife when trying to get off the stickers but it didn't look so horrible and i was able to mostly buff it out, i probably should have been more careful anyways! I really am satisfied and its such a beautiful addition to my room!

Great bookshelf. Does not take up a lot of space. Holds a lot of items. Takes some time to assemble, but easy with instructions. Very sturdy. Everything is included, easier if you have hand drill with hex bit attachment.

This shelf looked nice and it is nice wood..however, the parts that came do not fit accurately especially the dow rods that are.suppose to fit to help connect pieces..that was a no go...directions are only images amd do not help in assembly as this would.be most helpful in some steps...not worth the hassle.

This was easy to put together. The sizing fits perfectly in my small dining room. I use it for more as bar space. Great pricing and storage needs.

I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of quality with furniture bought off Amazon, but this exceeded my expectations. For one, the shelf is modern and sleek, and the wood grain looks even better in person. It's not made from cheap crumbly particle board, and made from a solid wood. I'm also really happy with how sturdy it is. As you can see in the picture, I loaded up the shelf with a lot of heavy books (I put the heaviest on the bottom to be safe), and it's handling them no problem. Each shelf allows a lot of headroom (about 14 inches) for my tallest books, so I don't have to put them on their sides like I did with my previous book shelf. Regarding the assembly process, the instructions are clear and straightforward, but you need to pay close attention. I have a couple tips that might help speed things up: 1. Follow the instructions exactly, and take note of where the holes are facing when you start putting things together, because it matters. For example, I accidentally screwed on the base board the wrong way with the holes facing the front. 2. In the instructions, there are pieces labelled G and H which look the same at first glance, but are not. Assemble them properly, and make sure you attach them to the correct sides of the middle board. I didn't think it mattered which way they faced, but it does. 3. I recommend putting on the long backboard pieces and attaching each shelf as you go, rather than attaching them at the very end. This will allow you more flexibility to move the shelves around as you screw them on, since I found the holes aren't always perfectly aligned. Hope this helps so you don't spend as much time assembling as I did!
