Trusco ST-350-B 2-Level Toolbox

I learned about these toolboxes recently and was excited to see I could easily order one on Amazon. This has been a great toolbox for my at home needs. It is sturdy, the finish is excellent, and it fits everything I need in it. The trays having inserts to help with organization was awesome. Because of the size I can easily store it in a closet and it’s portable enough to take out with I need something out of it. I have been able to easily fit a hammer, nails, wall anchors, screws, screwdriver, an older Dewalt impact drill, drill bits, drill batteries and some wrenches for plumbing in this toolbox and I still have room for more things. This is perfect for the diy person or a professional.

For those few reviewers who thought the value of this great toolbox was too steep, you have absolutely no idea what a fantastic value this really is. I saw this exact same brand toolbox at a well known store (will not name it here) and they had it listed for $135. Yes, that’s right. So $60 for this amazing toolbox is a bargain. I hopped right on it and I’m definitely not disappointed. Also, not surprised it’s a Japanese brand, as most all products made in Japan are made with great care and quality. I also love the 8 small dividers they provide so you can adjust the sections to your needs. I’m not sure some of you noticed but there’s also a little square like hole in the middle when it’s closed so you can add a little lock to it for security. The bold, rich, blue color is gorgeous and the sturdy steel and ease of opening and closing is smooth. The weight, portability and size are perfect. Extremely happy I was able to find it for $60 rather than paying $135 at a well known popular store that sells containers, etc. That’s a $75 difference! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Well-made, heavy-duty toolbox. The color is lovely and I enjoy having everything consolidated into this attractive and functional box. It holds a lot and the dividers for the top compartments make it easy to customize. Very happy with this purchase!

Industrial maintenance electrician here! This box is as rugged and durable as it gets. It’s my main box I carry around to machines holding my most common tools. I’ve knocked one of these puppies off a 3 foot high drop and it didn’t even spill open. Not sure why people reviewing this are crying about the paint??? It’s a toolbox, not a shelf decoration. These things last. You’ll be giving your grandkid this box. It’s smaller than most boxes, so you’re not gonna be putting a roller chest’s worth in it. However, if you get creative you can fit a ton of tools in this thing. The cantilever design makes for easy access. If you are a fisherman, this would be a great tackle-box that can take a beating. Absolutely love this thing. So, take it from a professional and purchase one, they are being sold at a very fair price.

After purchasing one of these, I realized that this is a near-perfect toolbox for many applications, and I now own four. It's very sturdy/tough, and little touches (like the separator retention cut out on the end) are really well done. Pros: + Small size, but large enough for basic hand tools. + Sturdy. + Nice blue color. + Strong handles (I could probably put a lead-brick collection in it). Cons: - Paint smells when fresh. - Doesn't latch or lock shut (hold both handles together to avoid comical mishaps). - Like a Mogwai, don't get it wet. If it gets wet, water trapped between the stamped layers on the bottom will create a bit of creeping rust. Not the end of the world, but not awesome. Honestly, it's just a really good tool box, a classic design that earns every bit of that status.

Well made, quality construction & steel, has functional storage partitions and compartments. Very useful for this small size toolbox. I'd purchase it again.

Sometimes a product comes along that changes the industry. This company has done that. Take a look at most toolboxes on the market from Amazon,Lowe’s,Home Depot, and many others. They are inexpensive and cheap. Trusco is one of the few exceptions. They are expensive but worth it. The small details in a Toolbox DOES matter to the user. They have thought of this in every way possible for a cantilever toolbox. This model is their smallest version but they make them larger but don’t skimp on quality. Who would have thought a toolbox would change the way you work and play. This one has! Quality and meticulous detail to everything. Amazing design that eliminates the troublesome latches and uses the handles to keep the toolbox closed. A hidden locking mechanism that won’t break off. Genius! Pick it up, carry it, set it down, open it up and the unique geometry designed folding hinges on the side make an effortless opening where everything is immediately accessible. Who would have thought that would make a difference? Well it does when your hot, frustrated and on the customers clock. You need to get to your tools quickly and then when your done, fast loading and no latches to fiddle with and maintain. How many times have you been carrying your toolbox and all of a sudden one latch flies open and you either lose your balance or your tools go spilling out all over the place. Embarrassing huh! What about taking it up a ladder and it opens? Who ever is below or you yourself lose your load quickly and you both fall or get hit with a tool and are seriously hurt or die! I think you get the point. The only manufacturer that’s worth a flip other than Trusco, is Kennedy Kits and their hinge design sucks and... they have latches and are a dark color where you can’t see all your tools! Trust me if you are looking for quality, this made in Japan company has the best. You will thank me when you get yours!

I am SO happy I bought this toolbox. I am using it for basic household maintenance tools, and it is perfect for my needs. It takes the same shelf space as my old plastic box with a broken latch and zero organization. In this box, I can fit all the basic tools I need, and they are easy to find. Bonus: In addition to being well-designed, it is good looking too!

Amazing tool box from Japan. I love the look of it, the quality, the feel. It’s just a great item to have. It makes me happy every time I use it. I also bought similar one as a present to my friend and another one to my husband and they both love it. The color is beautiful and bright. There mechanism works great after 2 years of use, so this must last me a long time.
