Works with Atomos drives
Works with Atomos SSDs: tested with Sumo, Shogun and Ninja-V drives. No need to remove from the caddy, it just clips directly to the exposed SATA port. Good transfer speed, compact and much cheaper than Atomos-branded readers. Tested on an M1 MacBook Air, true plug n' play with no setup or permissions required, it just works. Recommended purchase!

Works brilliantly would definitely recommend
This works wonderfully and does exactly what it says on the tin. I have an old Black Magic camera that still uses 2.5 SS D’s . However, my laptop currently only has USB c on it. So now I can plug it in without a dongle on the go and copy everything off very fast. Would definitely recommendAnd could even save you some money instead of buying enclosed hard drives. You can buy 2.5 SSD hard drives and when you need to use them just plugging into this, you just need to keep them covered in a drawer. Great for cold storage

It's a cable. It works.
I use it to connect a 1Tb SATA SSD movie library to my iPad when I am travelling, or to play via Apple TV. It provides a cheap and compact solution. I have bought several UGREEN cables and found them all to be good quality and reliable.

Easy set up
Bought this in conjunction with a Crucial 1Tb SSD for an iMac. It is a simple setup, just plug the SSD in and the other end to the computer, A quick formatting of the SSD and it is ready to go. This connector has reduced the back up time for a 1Tb disk from 22 minutes down to 8. The only thing the Ugreen connector is missing is an indicator light (my other connector has a flashing blue light to indicate activity), but it doesn't really matter as the activity is shown on the computer screen. Item is well made and works a treat and well worth the money,

Does not work with 3.5" HDD
Does not power on a Seagate Ironwolf 12TB 3.5" SATA HDD. This is tested on a Macbook Pro and PC.
