Author explains how to technically create various scenes. This is great reference material for my library.

This is a nice book for any beginner wanting to get into painting watercolor landscapes. Nice instructions and projects to try.

It's nice to have a British perspective on watercolor. Nice book, clear explanations of technique, and helpful illustrations.

This is...exactly what I was looking for. More of a "text" book, then a "hey this is how you paint parrots in a jungle, here's layer 1, here's 2...etc". The fact that I'm still stuck on the sketchy/perspective parts and haven't even painted (and I've watercolored painted for years, using youtube tutorials) is a good sign. There's a lot in here that those tutorials glaze over. Though if you are a first timer, and really are interested, with tutorials online. I'd get this book. However, if you are a first timer, but are unsure. Save this book for your second one. Fine a beginners one, this has a lot to chew on, it may be way too much info, and discourage you (never be discouraged!)

It okay, most of these books waste to much time on brushes, paints and paper. They call for a manufacture of paint that is not available or to expensive

Great info step by step info from several UK based artists. Lots of techniques demonstrated that I have not seen in other books. Good addition to my library

Fantastic book for learning landscape painting. Beautiful colored pages and easy to read.

It was a gift for my granddaughter and she is very happy with it.

Brilliantly written covers everything from brushes, techniques and equipment. Plus great demonstrations to follow by different artists with differing strengths. Worth considering as a gift for all artists.
