So glad I found Tulip Etimo!
I have been crocheting for a few years now (long time knitter) and struggle with wrist pain and specifically my fingers going numb when I crochet. I noticed on a crochet forum someone had asked about ergonomic hooks, and I immediately began doing my own research. The popular ones seem to be Clover (Soft Touch and Amour) and Furls, but I noticed a few crocheters swore by Tulip Etimo. After checking reviews on Amazon, I bought this hook. I also bought a couple of Furls hooks (streamline and odyssey) as well as a Clover Amour to test them all out because hey, you really can't have too many hooks :) The Tulips are easily my favorite, although they do all seem to help with the numbness and wrist pain. However, the Tulips flow so easily, they have literally made me a better crocheter. My stitches and chains are more even. My first test with the Tulip was a basket made with three strands of cotton twine. I had made two of these already with regular hooks, and not only was it torture on my wrist and hand but they turned out somewhat floppy becasue I could not get the stitches tight. Enter my new Tulip, and my next basket was nice and tight and NO WRIST PAIN. Compared to the Clover Amour, I felt the Tulip was still much smoother-it really is like butter and you just don't have to grip it so hard. The Furls Streamline is also nice, and the Odyssey is very smooth albeit somewhat heaviver (I don't mind but others might). Bottom line, Tulip is now my go-to hook and I have several sizes. Oh, and the pink is bonus-each one is a slightly different shade-so pretty!! Don't hesitate to buy these hooks, your hands will thank you.

Very Comfortable; Aids with Consistency
I bought the 6.5mm as the pattern's suggested hook, And as alternate to the 6.5mm I purchased the 6.0mm in case I needed it to achieve the measurements I needed. I've been using Boye & Bates hooks happily for decades. But, I didn't know how the hook would affect my grip and results. I had just gotten over 3/4th through a sweater and found it was not fitting. After a reasonable wrestle to try to adjust what was completed, I had only two choices: 1) make it too small and give it to someone else, or 2) frog it. I decided to frog it. I retried swatches with different hooks and found the old hooks produced a good swatch, just as before. But early on I could see the sweater was not coming out - AGAIN. So, I started reading about different hooks and decided to cross my fingers and order the Tulip. It is very comfortable even though it is not as long as I would normally desire. That does not matter. The shaft, grip and handle are really easy on my hands. I have a "trigger finger" on my left hand and use a therapy glove so I was concerned the handle would inhibit free hand/finger movement. It does not. I immediately created a good swatch and found the head worked through stitches with ease. I'm making a clothing item and I want the measurement to be true to the pattern. I could kick myself for not picking up the Tulip a long time ago. It helps me control tension and maintain consistency which is super important when measurements matter. I found I was "noticing" and adjusting whenever my tension would change/lapse. From now on I can use my other hooks for scarves, blankets, etc. But, Tulip must have some magic in it because it really seems to response when I change my grip or tension. I tend to stop a second and get back on track. I love it!

Perfect crochet hook!
This is my favorite brand of crochet hooks. I bought the set awhile back and just needed this size to add to it. It is comfortable in your hand, there is no catching of the yarn, and it’s pink! It’s a little bit more expensive but totally worth it.

Best crochet hook.
I am a new crocheter and have tried a lot of different hooks, both plastic and metal. These hooks are great. The yarn just glides over it so easily. It’s also very comfortable to hold. They’re a bit pricey but worth the cost. I keep buying them in different sizes.

Great addition to my tulip etimo set
My normal set of tulip etimo only goes up to 6mm, so I needed to buy this 6.5mm one separately. It feels buttery smooth like all my other tulip etimo hooks, so I'm happy to report it's legit. You pay more for the quality but it's completely worth it.

Nice hook but did not work for my grip
Ordered because I broke my very old Clover Amour, and a replacement Clover would have taken much longer to arrive. I had a lot to make on a deadline. Nice size and glides nicely through the yarn. Unfortunately the little bump shown in the picture really hurts my thumb as I stitch. I switched back to Clover.

So smooth and comfortable. Love them.
I believe Tulip Etimo are simply the best crochet hooks you can get. I have been crocheting for well over 40 years now and have used many different types of crochet hooks from traditional to many ergonomic hooks in many different brands, and for me, these are the most comfortable of all. I primarily use the pencil grip, but will also occasionally use the knife grip, and I find these hooks to be equally comfortable for both. The shafts are extremely smooth. The shape of the hook enters into stitches easily, and I have not experienced yarn splitting with even cheap yarns. I was very happy to find the 6.5 mm hook to add to my set. I can highly recommend Tulip Etimo hooks to anyone who loves to crochet. I have a full set of the Etimo candy (one shade of pink) as well as a set of the steel hooks, and I love them all. I would purchase again without a second thought. This hook arrived in a very timely manner, was packaged well, and was in perfect condition. Thank you.

I love Tulip Etimo crochet hooks, they are very well made, and very smooth during use. I am left handed but still find them comfortable. I do not use any other hooks now.
